Very sturdy chair. They sit higher than older Rio 5 position lay flat models I am replacing. Not too high but no longer one with the sand. Very comfortable, bright colors(blue stripes), drink holder yay, towel or coverup pouch on back. Shoulder straps also great although I use a beach buggy. Closing takes a minute to master. Turn inside down and close but pulling leg bars together.

I bought this for a weeklong camping trip at the beach. All in all its a decent chair. It's sturdy, it's wide enough and a decent height off the ground. I'm 6' and 185. I found it to be comfortable for me for the week. It could recline more so if you're looking for a chair to recline all the way this is not it. Closing it is pretty easy. If you follow their directions and turn it upside down make sure there is nothing in the pouch because everything will fall out. In the upright position just give it a good pull and it will close. My first beef with this chair is that the cup holder is a POS. It's just a netting that hangs. It does not sit upright so you can't put an open drink in it. You have to use a sealed bottle. Beef 2: It does not have a pocket for your cell phone. Considering how we are all glued to that damn thing, not having an easily accessible spot for your cell is a pain. I ended up buying a pouch, for 13.00, that hangs off the side of your armrest. Considering this chair is $49.00 that should be a standard option imho.

This was the right chair I was looking for as it sits up high enough where my legs aren't laying in sand. It's adjustable with a high back that helps with my neck issues along with a pillow that works for a lumbar for my neck , easy to use or easy to adjust and not use it. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with straps to transport it like a back pack , freeing up both hands. Also the back has a large zipper compartment that fits a variety of beach must haves. A cup holder I couldn't of designed my own chair any better than this one and for the price, kinda the in the middle is a great value some of the more expensive ones didn't have near the features this one did . So if you've been searching for the right beach chair in my opinion the search is over it's a great buy and I'm grateful to have found it.

How to close: Stand behind chair and push forward to lift back leg off the ground. Then push in back leg with your feet. Chair will collapse to almost flat. Then push front leg toward back and it will be flat. Pull front clip OVER the pillow and attach to back clip. Chair will be all ready to put on like a back pack!!! Super easy once you know how to do it. Purchased these chairs for myself (5’6 270lbs) and my husband (6’3 215 with horrible knees). They were absolutely the best purchase I made for the beach and made our trip so much more enjoyable!!! They were so easy to just throw over our shoulders and carry down to the beach. The material seemed strong and they were so easy to get in and out of!!! (The regular size chairs are u comfortable and we have to fall into them and need help to get out of). Our kids 8 & 10 enjoyed sitting in them too. Adjustable head rest was heaven. So comfy to just relax in. Such a great purchase. So thankful I took the chance on them!!!

I bought this for myself after extensive research on a good beach chair for a plus size girl like myself. I cannot sit on the floor because my legs will fall asleep almost immediately and my knees will hurt the rest of the day. This chair is lower to the ground than I would have initially liked, but once I sat in it it was SO comfortable. I am 5'2" so even in normal foldable chairs my legs tend to dangle, having a lower beach chair was something I never considered but am SO glad I tried. The pillow is very comfortable and the cup holder is great, I like that you can unzip it to fit a larger cup/your phone. It's also very light weight for such a big chair, I'm not the strongest but it's easy to carry it on my back using the straps. Lastly, I LOVE the width of the chair, finally the metal legs and sides aren't digging into my hips and thighs and I don't feel huge. If you're on the fence, get off it and get in this chair!

I live in Florida, and I hit the beach pretty much all year round. My beachwear has to be sturdy, or it won't last long. I've found that the RIO brand of beach chairs have always been great chairs, and my expectation for them are high. The Big Boy model is designed for larger people (I'm a big guy), and they are very comfortable. It's very easy to fall asleep in one of these. When my current beach chair dies, it's replacement will definitely be another RIO Big Boy!

I used my new Rio BBBB chair for a long weekend at the lake & was extremely happy I did! It was comfortable, easy to get out of, sturdy but light to carry & the storage pouch on the back holds quite a few extras. It is also a lot cooler than sitting on the hot sand which was a bonus in extreme heat. It would be nice if the storage pouch had a zipper & was insulated. I also noticed that after the chair dried there were water mark stains but they were mostly on the bottom of the seat & certainly not a deal breaker. I’m so happy I purchased this chair!

Very comfortable with a wide seat. Easy to carry with a handle or as a back pack.

I bought this chair as a companion to my Tommy Bahama Backpack Cooler Beach Chair. This one is easier to get out of, but I miss the cooler pouch. When you are on the beach for several hours, that cooler is wonderful. This chair has made my trips to the beach so much easier to manage.

I have had Rio Brand chairs before and they are pretty good for the money.In all honesty I would of given a 5 stare but they were a little dirty inside the plastic when I got them. I know they will get dirty over time on the beach but still I was a little disappointed.
