I ordered this Balios Table Runner Chinoiserie Flower Bird Print, Double Sided with V-End and Tassel, Faux Linen Kitchen runner to use on my dining room table for Easter dinner this year.As much as I love my vintage family table linens that have been handed down through several generations, I just don’t have the time this year to hand-launder pieces from the Victorian/Edwardian period. I don’t want to ruin family pieces by trying to rush the washing and ironing process, so I decided to try something different this year.Once I decided to try something different, I’ve been having a lot of fun planning a more eclectic Easter table. I loved the pattern on this table runner, and I think it’s going to look great this Easter.This runner measured approximately 73” from one end of the fabric to the other end. I didn’t include the gold tassels at either end of the runner when measuring. Each tassel is made of a golden, silky thread that reminds me of embroidery floss, and they are each about 4” long.The fabric is a nice, heavy weight. It feels like a heavy linen or a lightweight canvas. The runner is made of two pieces of the fabric sewn together, and each end finishes with a triangle point and a gold tassel.The fabric is a deep, almost emerald green. The design is a chinoiserie pattern with a vintage feeling. The pattern is fairly intricate, with flowers and vines twining between baskets, vases, and teapots. Dark blue, gold, white, rose, and other colors are a lovely contrast to the deep green background. The pattern makes good use of negative space as well as the many floral and classic motifs.You definitely could dress this table runner up or down. For Easter dinner I plan to use the runner with a mixture of different china patterns in pink and green colors, along with family silver and crystal.But after the fancy Easter dinner, I plan to leave the runner on the table for a while. I think the heavy fabric and the deep green and goods will look petty against the honey colored wood of my dining room table. The runner will work with a plain daily china, not just the fancy holiday/dinner party stuff. The deep green and the flower/vine designs in the runner are perfect for spring.This runner was much nicer than I expected. The price point is a nice little bargain (currently $12.99) and I was expecting something of the quality I’d find at a big box store. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the table runner looked fairly high-end. It looks a lot like the goods at the boutique housewares stores in our neighborhood.Deep green table runner is perfect for Easter or anytime. Gold tassels and a chinoiserie pattern combine for a classic, vintage look.

This nice green patterned runner looks so nice against dark wood. Nice contrast. It fits with antique items very well. The gold tassels on the ends is a nice touch. Even though it is polyester it really looks great. The design is vivid and really aesthetically pleasing to look at. Very happy with this.

This runner is very pretty, but the fabric itself is very nylon-feeling, almost like cheap outdoor fabric. The design of the print isn't as crisp as I would prefer, but I think that's more because of the weave of the fabric than anything. The tassels were gorgeous when they came out of the wrapping, but immediately began to lose threads. All in all, this is very pretty, but I don't think the tassels are going to last, and when those are gone, it's just a piece of plasticky fabric.
