Worked perfectly
This is a bit long, but if you bare with me, there's an actual point to this story...I was a happy Pixel 4A user, with absolutely no complaints until April of 2023, when out of nowhere my phone would go from a fully charged battery to dead within minutes.I could literally see the battery drain about 1% per second. When it got to around 70-80 percent, it would typically just turn off-- faster than it even had a chance to properly shut itself down. What was really strange (to me at least) was that when I would plug it in to charge at that point, the battery indication (the one seen when the power was off) would show some random charge amount on the battery-- anywhere from 30-100%, and it would turn right back on-- at which point, it would frequently stay working for another half hour or more before it would die again.I cannot reiterate how sudden this behavior began-- it literally went from one day I had to charge it once every 24 hours, to the next day needing to be charged constantly. It actually got to the point where I simply left it connected to charger of some sort (plug in, or portable) day and night so I could still use my otherwise perfectly good phone.I've had a dozen or so smartphones over the years, including (off the top of my head) the Palm Pre, HTC Evo, HTC Tilt, Galaxy S II, S III, and S5 Sport (as well as a Panasonic, a Sony Ericcson, and some others I can't think of the brands for at the moment). In every single instance when one of those other phones starting showing signs of battery problems, there were recognizable clues that it was dying-- mostly the battery life would gradually get shorter and shorter. Due to the suddenness of the battery problems with my Pixel 4a, I never even entertained the thought that the battery itself was the problem.Coincidentally, online I found tons of others who were seeing extreme battery loss on their Pixel phones that could be traced back to Android updates, including an updates that had recently been applied to by phone.Unfortunately, none of the subsequent updates ever helped, and eventually I got so fed up, I just bought a new phone, even though functionally, I was perfectly content with my 4A.This brings me to today. On a whim, I decided to pull the old 4A out to see if any subsequent patches might have come out to address the issues it was having. I always like to have a functional spare phone available in case I break/lose my current one, and the 4A would be great for that purpose. After charging it all the way back up and getting it updated to Android 14 with as many patches as were available, I unplugged the charging cable and about 10 seconds letter, it died.At that point, with no new fixes coming from Google for the 4A, that it would be a lost cause, but I figured I may as well try swapping the battery-- they are considerably cheaper now than they were back then, and I'm much more willing to accidentally destroy this phone in the process now, than I was when it was daily driver.Best case scenario? A new battery would breathe new life into an otherwise functional (albeit old) phone. Worst case? It still wouldn't work, and I'd be out a few dollars and about an hour's worth of my time.Fortunately, I managed to successfully replace the battery without screwing anything up along the way (no dropped screws, cracked screens or bent frame). With that in mind I genuinely wanted to give this battery the best chance of success possible, so I plugged it in to charge but resisted the urge to turn it on until it was fully topped off. Once done, I unplugged it, and started it up.In it's previous state, trying to start it without the charger attached was almost certain to result in a shutdown before it fully loaded, but not this time. It started right up, and hasn't be charged in over 24 hours and still has around 35% battery life remaining. Not that I'm doing anything on it that would be draining the battery, but even at idle, the old battery would have died within seconds/minutes, so this is amazing.Again, since I'm not actively using the phone in any way, I have no idea how this battery will perform with real-world use, but I can confidently say it has absolutely blown away my expectations on whether or not my old Pixel 4a was salvageable at all.And for anyone still reading this, the real lesson to take away from this review is that, if your Pixel 4a battery starts dying suddenly, unexpectedly one day, without warning of any kind, just replace the freakin' battery.

No adhesive to reattach the screen
Here's everything you need to change your battery, except for this one very important item that you can't complete the task without. Ridiculous...

Works great, don't forget the glue for your screen.
Battery was a perfect fit and holds a charge much better than the one I replaced. I followed a Youtube video on how to replace the battery, it's reasonably involved so make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. This kit did include double sided tape for the battery but no glue to reattach the screen. I had to run to a local craft store to pick some up.

Doesn't Include Phone Screen Adhesive but Overall Good!
This kit includes adhesive for the battery pack (which wasn't even included in the replacement tutorial I used), so you'll have to buy adhesive for your phone screen. I just completed the replacement using the YouTube tutorial from iDoctorUK, which I highly recommend. It was very clear and easy to pause and go slowly. This kit had everything he mentioned except the screen adhesive. You'll also want clamps or something to hold your screen tight while it tries (I used thick rubber bands). Overall, a great kit. We just really need that adhesive in there! I used B-7000 for mine, but there are tape adhesives etc as well.

The battery is not fully compatible
After doing the replacement, my phone still shows the notification that I need to replace the battery.

Not great for it's purpose
The tools to remove the glue from my phone screen from the body of the phone were not nearly strong enough. They were cheap plastic and deformed as soon as I applied any pressure. The whole kit was wasted basically because I couldn't get thru step one of removing the screen. I feel terrible wasting a whole new battery.

Incredible replacement for your Google pixel 4a
I really can't give a complete review at this time because I haven't installed the batteries but I can tell you what it says on the box the box States that it is made of high quality lithium polymer batteries versus other non lithium batteries it says that it's more durable greater than 30% more battery cycles greater than 30% longer battery life greater than 30%, now I don't know if this is true or not I haven't installed them yet but it looks impressive the reviews have been good I assume that this information is correct it also mentions that the batteries are created from certified grade a Plus battery sales and quality connectors to provide optimal connection to your phone it also States that it is foolproof building I see that monitor's temperature and input all of this is very impressive to me although I cannot attest to the truthfulness of it but I'm just telling you what's on the box okay I will probably give a follow-up review after I have these installed they even give you the tools and everything to do this but I'm not going to do it myself I'd rather just pay somebody so I know that it's done correctly but that's my review and I just hope that you find it helpful!
