It arrived promptly, nicely boxed, with a cute gift incluided!I washed it, put in a quart of cream, and made some delicious butter.

It works great , my son has already made two batches of butter along with a batch of honey/ cinnamon butter.

This butter churner is so easy to use my children even use it. The butter taste really good when it's all done. Definitely recommend.

Seems like a great item, but even after running hot water over it, I literally can't get the top to budge even slightly to get this open, which makes it completely unusable.

I got this butter churner for my grandchildren to use. A couple of them are homeschooled, and this is just the type of hands-on experience they need to learn about and use. It will be a novelty for the public school kids, too, who (in my humble opinion) don't learn enough about how to actually do anything necessary or functional in home. I'm guessing most school kids don't even know where butter comes from (other than "the store"). So I thought this would be a kick for them. My daughter-in-law loves it, and can't wait to walk her kids through the process. They like to be almost exclusively a whole foods family, with very little processed food, so real butter is always in their kitchen. This is a two quart (half gallon) canning jar, but it is very high quality, thick glass. The top is a combination of a wooden jar lid, with a wooden turning handle, and gripping handle. The wood is acacia, which is always beautiful, and I believe it will be a high endurance wood for this purpose. The gear assembly is a high quality stainless steel, and in my test of it, did not stick or jam, but moved smoothly. Of course, the real test will be making actual butter with it, but my hopes are high that it works perfectly, and for a long time. I will suggest that this be used on a silicone mat, to avoid slipping, and possibly breaking the jar (or a toe!). It seems to be a very well made product, and as a gift for my grandchildren, it's priceless.

A little bit of work, but a fun food activity, and you end up with both butter and buttermilk

This churner has an elegant look and looks great on my shelf, but that’s about it. As I was trying to use it, it was vibrating so bad, that it couldn’t be normal. And then after 5-6 churns, it would “slip”… kiinda like a bicycle chain that needs to be tightened. I finally gave up and just used my mixer instead. It did come with a cute little cow keychain.

The quality of the parts used to produce this butter churner are top-notch! I really love the wood handle and other components—the churner looks exactly as pictured. The metal is thick and durable. I have already experimented with making butter, and it works great (just follow the instructions). I've also used this to mix other things, so I know it's possible to utilize it for more than just butter. It's so fun to crank the handle! It's also easier to clean than you'd think. Simply put hot, soapy water inside and turn the crank until everything has emulsified and it's easy to rinse off/out. I don't plan on putting this in my dishwasher because I don't want to ruin the wood, so I plan on cleaning it by hand. The outside can be scrubbed with a brush if you need. Overall, very happy with this product and would highly recommend it.
