Love this silverware set! Well made, heavy, and a modern, expensive look to them are the primary highlights. I got a smaller set in 2017 and went back for a full set in 2021. All pieces of this silverware set look as good as new.Only drawbacks would be that the squared off handle edges can sometimes poke you and the groves can be a bit difficult to clean off stuck on food. Although, overall this is an excellent silverware set!

We received this set of silverware as a gift 8 years ago. Naturally we have lost some of the pieces over the years so I bought these. Exact same brand, same design. These ones that came had looked like they had been kicked around a warehouse for years. They were also cheaply made and way thinner and lighter than the previous set we had received.

These absolutely sparkle. I’ve also put them in the dishwasher and so far so good

This Hampton Forge Brocade Hammered 20 Pc stainless steel flatware set is beautiful. The pieces are very shiny and create an elegant place setting. The 5 pieces in the place settings are very comfortable to use. The salad forks are enough smaller than the dinner forks to make them comfortable in the hand and the perfect size for picking up greens and the smaller pieces in any kind of salad. The dinner forks are sturdy and large enough to easily pick up heavy pieces of protein. The 4 tines on each fork are angled perfectly to go in your mouth comfortably. The dinner spoons are a great size to double as a soup spoon and heavy enough to eat hard ice cream with. The teaspoons fit in your coffee or teacup well for stirring or stealing a sip of the drink before it's cool. The teaspoon has a narrow enough bowl to fit in your mouth comfortably. Since I have a small mouth. this smaller, shallower bowl is important. The dinner knife is a bit long with a serrated edge on half. All of the edges on all the pieces are smooth.I have only hand washed and only had in use for a few days, so I can't speak to the durability of this set, but I feel sure I will use this lovely Hampton Forge Brocade Hammered flatware set for years to come. Apparently years ago someone published a study that reported that those people who ate with larger sized cutlery/silverware ate less. The manufacturers seem to have heeded that report and the trend has increasingly been toward a “mine is bigger than yours” approach. Sadly, I prefer the older “normal”, smaller sized forks and spoons.The fork and “tablespoon” of this set have triumphed in the “mine is bigger” department and are comically large. As in serving piece large. I can’t imagine eating with them, so I will use them as serving pieces.This set, according to the manufacturer’s website, is made of 10/0 stainless steel. The pieces are a middle range quality and nice for the price point. This is very much an everyday use set and will likely last for many years.The design on this set is a hammered design, with an abrupt (and not so attractive) line of demarcation. The knife has a quirky twist to it that provides interest.Hampton Forge is always a reliable manufacturer of everyday use cutlery/silverware and this set is consistent with their sensibility.

I chose the "hammered" 20-piece set and it is gorgeous. Not only do these pieces have a chrome-like shine, the hammered texture catches the light and gives the pieces some sparkle. The texture also kind of reminds me of tree-bark, and I really like that suggestion of a natural element. This flatware is also generously sized - nothing dinky or skimpy about it. The size of the dinner forks and tablespoons is especially impressive. The pieces have a nice weight to them and feel good in your hand.We have been washing this flatware in the dishwasher taking no special precautions, and it comes out looking like new. We've been using these pieces about a month now, with no issues such as rusting or scratching.Overall this is a beautiful set of flatware that has a good weight and feel, and is also easy to clean. It is packaged carefully in a sturdy box, which makes it perfect for gift giving -- but once you see these shimy, sparkling pieces in person, you'll want to keep the set for yourself.

I believe that I was sold defects. The ends of the flatware are bent and somewhat sharp, all of them are that way. I tried reaching out to Hampton Forge directly and go no response, now it is too late to return to Amazon. The reason I know that they are defective is I recently visited a local restaurant that had the same flatware, and they are flat and rounded on the ends. Shame on Amazon for selling defective products.
