Works well. Heats up quickly
So good to have an all inclusive dongle! 4 Stars b/c it heats up when the power and ethernet cords are connected.

Do Not Buy! It Eats Mini-SD Cards!
As an earlier reviewer wrote: "Put a mini sd card in and it didn't seat properly, while trying to remove it, it fell into the dongle. If you shake the dongle, I can hear it rattling around. This really shouldn't be possible no matter how clumsy a set of fingers." Wish I had found that comment earlier because the same thing happened to us yesterday! We had the hub for while [proper storage, still in the box, without use] then after a few days of minimal use, our mini-sd 64 gb card got stuck inside the hub. Definitely a major design flaw! We could hear it rattling around and at certain angles we saw it but could not shake it out. Consequently, we had to pry the device open to get the sd card out because it had irreplaceable family recordings on it. Didn't want to destroy the device but the info on our card meant more to us than the poorly constructed hub. DO NOT BUY IF YOU PLAN TO USE SD CARDS WITH IT. Overall, I do not recommend this product.

Not recommended - if it fails, you're on your own.
One of the 'bullet points' of this item was: 1 YEAR WARRANTY: Yuanj USB Type C Hub Adapter are backed by 45-day money back & 1 year warranty. Our customer service team provides timely response and friendly service for you. Mine product worked for about 60 days, then stopped. Windows 10 chimes when the device is plugged in or removed, but no devices show up (no monitor, no ethernet adapter, etc). So I tried to located Yuanj on the internet to download the latest drivers. Yuanj does not exist. It is a trademark of the Shenzhen Yuan Jing Import & Export Co.,Ltd. I doubt they importer/exporter actually manufacturers the device. I couldn't find any website, and the seller refuses to answer messages. Plus the product version I purchased has changed now when you click on the item, it now is a different USB device with less features. Strange why Amazon would not have required a new ASIN for this item.

Affects Wi-Fi, gets into non-working states, eats sd cards
1. My new Mac book Pro was having problems with wi-fi at 2.4hz. After a lot of flailing I discovered that hooking up an HDMI monitor to the dongle caused the wifi to fail (I ran ping and plugging in the monitor immediately stopped it). I tried repositioning my monitor and other monitors, always the same. I then hooked my monitor up through a usb-c -> thunderbird 2 -> hdmi connector and the wifi worked perfectly. So I'm blaming the dongle.2. Power failure in the house caused the dongle to stop functioning. Had to replug the box and the cables to finally get it to work again.3. Put an mini sd card in and it didn't seat properly. while trying to remove it, it fell into the dongle. If you shake the dongle, I can hear it rattling around. DO NOT BUY! Easily getting hot ... now broken ...
I have two very similar devices and this one gets hot quite easily. When it is really hot, on Chromebook, some apps start malfunctioning which is quite annoying. We have to unplug from it and just use the chromebook alone.[Update 2018.07.15] This device doesn't cool itself and not only it gets hot but also it stops working properly. Ethernet doesn't always work, HDMI connectivity isn't stable.[Update 2019.07.06] The spring for Micro SD card is broken so my Micron SD card got stuck ...
