Not 100% certain that Ceylon Flavors is 100% Ceylon Cinnamon...
The media could not be loaded. Not 100% certain that Ceylon Flavors is indeed 100% Ceylon Cinnamon. This is my first time purchasing Ceylon Cinnamon. The taste is good and milder compared to regular Cassia everyday grocery store cinnamon. We didn't smell nor taste a sawdust or wood taste although after putting some Ceylon Flavors cinnamon on our tongue we could tell that it clumped up a little bit opposed to dissolving naturally. The Cassia Cinnamon from Simply Nature dissolved without clumping up and definitely left that mild stuck in the throat irritated after taste. Unfortunately, the coloration for the cinnamon on the advertisement for the company on Amazon differs quite drastically from the actual product in the contents of the bag. The image of the powder on the website from the store front shows a more goldish tanish coloration yet the cinnamon that arrived in the mail from Ceylon Flavors has a dark tan brown look to it almost ashy with a reddish tint to it. My son and myself did a taste test and he said that the Ceylon Flavors package was milder in taste, more nutty in taste and had a more subtle mild cinnamon taste to it than the Simply Nature Organic Cassia Cinnamon which has a more bolder spicy taste to it that typically is associated with Cassia or Saigon Cinnamon. I may have to spend more $ on Ceylon Cinnamon which in all honesty is already expensive to begin with as this 8.8 ounce package was triple what I would pay for Cassia Cinnamon at the grocery store. I mentioned false advertising in the video mainly because without performing an actual test on the cinnamon itself we don't know 100% if it's true Ceylon Cinnamon. It seems more to me that it's a mixture of Ceylon Cinnamon and Cassia Cinnamon which isn't what I paid for. I'd really appreciate others' input as I'm going to probably be looking for a different company to purchase "100% True" Ceylon Cinnamon from. Hope the we written and video review helps. Lastly, the reseal zip lock in the bag broke after opening so I cannot seal the bag of cinnamon correctly. I had to wrap the package in a paper towel and put it inside another ziplock bag. I'll probably have to transfer the cinnamon to another container that will seal better. Such an inconvenience. I just hope that the cinnamon doesn't spill inside the ziplock bag. For the price I'd hate to waste any.

Like a warm olfactory hug
This cinnamon is a revelation! I hadn't had good (read: real) cinnamon in so long that I had forgotten how sensational it was, and this cinnamon IS sensational. When I opened the bag, I found the scent to be pleasant and comforting, not harsh like faux "cinnamons", which are really just synonyms for cinnamon (say that five times fast), not the real thing. It was mild yet fragrant. It's a bit floral and a little citrusy, but mostly, it just smelled like cinnamon should. It was like a warm olfactory hug. I tasted it in some golden milk, and it was divine! Also, it is very finely ground, which I like. It dissolved beautifully in my warmed flaxmilk. I can't wait to use it in all my baking. I would suggest making your own pumpkin pie spice with it.Not only was the product fantastic, the price was pretty remarkable, too. I would definitely buy this brand again.

I WANTED TO LIKE IT
I bought this cinnamon because I read about all the health benefits of Ceylon Cinnamon versus the stuff you buy in most US grocery stores. Well....it just doesn't take as good. It looks like cinnamon but just doesn't have the right taste that I have grown to love. Oh well. Back to the cinnamon from Costco.

Good Flavor
Had a good cinnamon flavor. The packaging is a little big for the amount of cinnamon that’s in it, so pay attention to the ounces and price per ounce. But I’ve been happy with it. It’s nice a finely ground, and like I said, has a nice flavor.

Best tasting and finely ground
This is the third brand of Ceylon cinnamon powder that I have tried, and while the others were good, this one tastes more intense and, well, cinnamony, as one would expect. It is ground fine enough that it's not like a gritty spoonful of treebark particles, but is smooth feeling instead. It is pleasant and strong. Very happy with the purchase and the product, and the price puts it on the inexpensive side of the range of products available. Well done.

Takes About A Month
After taking the cinnamon regularly once a day for five day, then skipping two days ( recommended ), I started feeling quite better after about four weeks. Am continuing the same routine now.Get it. It's good for you.

"Exactly what it says on the tin."
It is Ceylon Cinnamon. Finely powdered, mild but distinct flavor. Not harsh and spicy like cassia. I chose it over cassia for health reasons (look it up, there is a lot of information about the differences), but I found that I prefer the flavor. too. It's close to the same price in quantity, so I see no reason not to switch. This brand is great. It is exactly what it says on the tin.

READ THIS UNBIASED REVIEW
I purchased this product after carefully reviewing this and other similar products. This was my second time purchasing Ceylon cinnamon (a different brand previously). I am not a cinnamon connoisseur and have never tasted Alba cinnamon (the highest grade) so I don't have a benchmark to use in evaluating lesser grades. I would now assume that this particular Ceylon cinnamon is of the much lesser grades. The package does not tell you what grade it is so I'm guessing it is probably at or close to the very bottom. The package was delivered quickly and came in a suitable paper type of resealable envelope (as pictured) and I was easily able to reseal the envelope after opening.Im fully aware of the differences in taste and aroma of Ceylon compared to the regular cinnamon that I use daily, however I'm using the Kirkland brand to compare with this particular product.COLOUR: The color of the Ceylon cinnamon was a bit lighter and more brownish in color than the Kirkland brand but not anywhere as light as is shown in the product pictures.TEXTURE: It looked like it was ground quite fine but when compared to my regular cinnamon the Ceylon did not have the same powdery look. The whole package was of the same consistency and there were no larger or foreign bits in the pouch ( I dismissed other reviews showing larger objects and bark-like pieces as coming from competitors wanting to malign the product). When I put a small amount on my tongue the cinnamon powder dissolved and left behind a significant amount of tasteless pulp.TASTE and SMELL: It had a very bland cinnamon smell and had overtones of a pulp/cardboard like aroma with the taste being pretty much exactly the same way.I wanted the Ceylon mainly because I like using cinnamon daily and wanted to make certain I was not exceeding the recommended dosage of regular cinnamon. I will now go back to using my aromatic and wonderfull tasting pulpless regular cinnamon in my daily consumption, with a keener eye on how much I'm using. I'll use the Ceylon for baking or smoothies and such where I might actually appreciated the added pulp fibre LOL. Good luck on your cinnamon journey, don't stop for this one though!
