The Women (International Edition)

Absolutely loved this book! Kristin Hannah is my now all-time favorite author! This book is pure poetry, the way it is written, so descriptive and human and believable. You care so much for these characters who face very believable painful challenges. The friendship and support of the women for each other is beautiful. I recommend this book totally! It's a book to live with! It ends but lives on within you!

I lived during the Vietnam days but I was totally unaware of the the nurses experienced while there. This 'historical fiction' book is mind-blowing. I loved the character, Frankie, & all she went through as both a nurse and then a vet returning home to disdain. This was full of hope, sadness, joy, love,This was my first time reading a Hannah Kristin book & I look forward to more of hers.A wonderful book that kept me on the edge of my seat!(I waited for this to come out in paper back... because a paperback is nice, soft, light. But I was very disappointed at the construction of this book. the pages were thick & rough and did not lay flat. Not a nice soft page or smooth. It twisted as I read. A minor complaint, I know, but there's nothing like a comfortable book to hold & this was not one of them..) Pictures.

Interesting to experience the Viet Nam war through the eyes of a female nurse. Also the lack of mental & physical help for those returning.

A very emotional thought provoking book on an unnecessary war where far too many were killed. Not only men but young boys, where so many served their country and never returned. The idea that so many women did the same, not acknowledged or recognized. If they were it was far to late. Thank you Kristin Hannah for an incredible read.

This is a good book. I love this author. I have read most of her books, I would say this one is in the top half. It made me see another side to the Vietnam war that I hadn’t been aware of. Some emotional moments, some twists too, great story!

I am a reader and this book was recommended to me and of course, on the best seller list. Amazon got it to me quickly, in brand new condition and whoever reads it will not be sorry. Thank you

I love this authors work and this one does not disappoint. Finished it in 2 days.

I admit I'm not an emotional reader. It takes a lot me make me shed tears while reading, but the ending of this book was surprisinly emotional for me. I love reading historical novels, but I knew little about the Vietnam War and its outcomes to the soldiers and nurses who ventured in there in service. A really good book that like many other that I've been reading, show the forgotten role of women in wars that marked a whole generation.

Libro scorrevole e di piacevole lettura.

This booked moved me. The story is so well written that I could clearly see all of images, and feel the emotion. I liked that it wasn’t a cliche romance.
