This book is an excellent read and shares some great ideas for inviting all families to participate at their children’s school! I am a Liaison at an elementary school and I believe this book will help me do a better job with getting mor parent/guardian involvement.

Great Resource
If you are simply purchasing this book for a course and a quick read . . . I would advise against that. The book is packed with ubiquitous activities and practices to help develop and build family and community engagement. If you are developing a Family Engagement Plan for your school or community--this book is a solid tool for your tool kit.. The instructions and charts are easy to follow and well explained. This guy Constantino knows what he is talking about.

Excellent Read with Many Valuable Resouces
An excellent resource. Everything you need from surveys, to provocative questions, strategies, examples, with an extensive and valuable bibliography. This book can help schools partner with families to improve student achievement.I especially like the simplicity of Chapter 10: Taking Action and Measuring Success.This book would work well as a book study for a school leadership team focused on improving family and community engagement.I highly recommend this book.
