east install just looses one bolt at a time oe things can move and thats a pain to fix

Great product for mounting lights on your hood. They have adjustable for the first and main bite, then they have smaller set screws on the bottom to ensure a tight grip on the hood. The are honestly a great product. They are well built and extremely sturdy. The have Great durability. And they feel like a good genuine product.

I really had high hopes for these, as the form factor is better than the alternatives which pivot in two axis. Certainly the construction is better, with a machined aluminum base and higher quality stainless hardware. In concept, the lower profile mounts are much more elegant.In actual use, they leave a bit to be desired. First off, they are too wide to fit in the gap between body panels (such as on a hood, to mount a bar or ditch lights.) They can only be mounted where there's at least a half inch of clearance between panels. Second, the clamping force leaves a lot to be desired, if the surface they are clamping to is smooth. I've tightened these right to the point where the lower grub screws feel like they might strip out the threads on the aluminum clamping surface. (using both the larger fasteners for gross position and initial torque, and smaller grub screws underneath for final torque)Even at this degree of tightness, I can simply lean against the light affixed to the bumper, and the whole assembly slides off and detaches. I'll try some material under the clamp to increase friction, but I rather doubt they'll hold up to getting schwacked with brush and whatnot. Probably just going to have to drill mounting holes in the bumper, which was what these were suppose to help me avoid.So, they're a nice form factor, but not really a secure mount for any sort of hard duty.

This kit came with 2 hood mounts, hardware, 2 allens keys, 2 spare screws, and instructions. I had a couple of light pods that I could put on and take off my car with magnet mounts. I recently picked up a new mini light bar and wanted a more permanent installation. These light bar hood mounts were exactly what I wanted. They are a durable metal material. Most people won't need the instructions because the install is pretty self-explanatory. If you do need directions, they are easy to read and follow. The installation was also quick and easy. You just place them on your hood, tighten the 3 bolts, and then screw your light bar or pods to them. They look neater than magnets. I also don't have to worry about the wind or someone ripping them off. There isn't much more I can say about these mounts. They are durable,easy to install, work great, and look nice.

In this day of complicated installations, it was so exciting to have these Ditch Light Brackets Hood Mount - 2PCS Universal LED Light Bar Mounting Brackets arrive!! My adult son with whom I share a house decided to place these lights on our tractor and he actually found an easy way to attach them! They have added additional lighting to his tractor, something that is always welcomed out in the dark country. We are both very happy with them and highly recommend them. You'll probably find them more easily fitted to standard cars and trucks, but we were happy to fit them to the tractor!!

Awesome piece of hardware to mounting lights with it have to drill for mounting points. Simple install, just loosen some screws, and place on the hood in your selected area, than just tighten the 4 screws.

These are some very unique clamp mounts that would be great for mounting external light pods to your off road truck or UTV. I ordered these two try installing some light pods onto my UTV, rather than drilling new holes for them. Installation is pretty straightforward, since all you have to do is tighten some screws against the surface that you are mounting to. If these work out, I will probably buy another set to use on my truck!
