This series is working well for our church group.
We have been doing the Six Weeks with the Bible for about 1 1/2 years. It works well for our group. I would like a little more in depth study but since our group has a wide range of Biblical background, this book really does a great job of being simple enough for Biblical beginners but in depth enough that our more experienced Biblical Students still get plenty out of it. We chose the 6 weeks so that we would not scare Parishioners off with too long of a commitment.Cons: Since it is only 6 weeks, it is more expensive than most studies that cover a far longer class. It is a bit of a pain to reorder books ever 6 weeks. Books usually aren't stocked in great quantities (we need 20) so obtaining them this often is a pain. We do put in 2 weeks in between each class of other type of study, usually a movie that somehow relates to our study. Also, a video presentation would be nice. We use a 20 minute presentation in our class but must go to other series (usually Little Rock Scripture Study) for their videos, which don't always exactly correspond to our study.

I find the questions in this book hard to understand in class teaching. If you are taking a class it would be helpfull if you had The Collegeville Bible Commentary or The Jerome Biblical Commentary. Either of these will help you understand the book.
