Smooth bearings, feel ok now it's fitted. A good upgrade from the originals. Not quite as nice as Shimano but half the price so that's ok.

Just what an old bike needed to have fitted on it - cycling now seems like a breeze, no jamming or difficulty whatsoever while pedalling, which was the case with the old-school bottom bracket caged bearings. Should last a good while. But I made a mistake and ordered a BB with a spindle that is 0.5cm longer than the old one, meaning that I lost the two gears at the rear - because of the length is extended, the chain now will always come off the gears, the front chain wheel gets pushed of the tip of the spindle by that 0.5cm further away from the bike's BB. My bad, but I can tell the BB is great, as I can feel the difference in cycling, smooth and easy.

Excellent replacement for the one that was damaged by a poorly made crank removal tool. Smooth bearings, easy to fit and well made.

This was purchased as a direct replacement for a Shimano item. My old bottom bracket had literally fallen to bits. This replacement fitted perfectly and my bike is now riding like new and all for less than £9 - great value ! GENERAL COMMENT about replacing a bottom bracket. This is the first time I have replaced a bottom bracket. My bike manual says I should have taken out the bottom bracket every year as part of my annual service. If you like me do not do anything to your bike and wait 15years like I did to remove the bottom bracket then it is not a fun procedure. The YouTube videos show experts gently removing the bracket from their shiny bikes and hide the fact that the rest of us have to use brute force to get some of the component to move. Since doing the job myself I have learnt that my local bike mechanic would have done it for £40 plus parts. Once you factor in the cost of specialist tools that would have been a bargain.

Used this to repair my nephews bottom bracket, funnily enough. Went in first time with no hassle and rolls very smoothly compared to the old loose bearings. Will buy again if needed.

I would like to add some comments here for people who are looking to overhaul the old bottom racket (with spindle and cage bearing). This cartridge has enough length (127.5 x 26 mm), but it is unfortunately does not have the "same thread" on the drive side that matches up with Raleigh mountain bike (old bottom racket). As most people advised to screw in the thread by hand. I can manage to do that on the non-drive side (yes, only one side), but unfortunately, on the drive side, I cant screw it in? Should I force it? Please see photo. Anyway, I have returned it and buy a seal bearing instead. I will probably keep the old cups and spindle. And only change the caged bearing with sealed bearing. Overall, the quality is good, but I cant use it for my old Raleigh mountain bike.

Since having this bottom bracket installed, i havent had any trouble with it, i did greece the collar slip rings with a white greece just for good measure , its been installed for a long while now,and it still as tight as when i first installed it, and im positive it will last quite a long time. I would certainly recommend it ,or buy it again if doing another bike project.

L'installazione è stata più semplice dello smontaggio del dispositivo precedente. Unica difficoltà: ho dovuto arrangiare una chiave per avvitare le due estremità (ritagliando una vecchia chiave a tubo per candele), perché quella apposita, ordinata assieme, non è, al momento, ancora arrivata. E' stato poi necessario regolare il deragliatore anteriore, perché il perno quadro nuovo è due millimetri più lungo di quello che va a sostituire, e la guarnitura risulta quindi leggermente spostata a destra. Tutto funziona bene. Speriamo che duri a lungo.

Men zou denken een BC 73-68 past ook in een 73mm buis maar dit is niet zo omdat er geen vulling bij zit dus blijft hij altijd 68 en dat is te kort.

Ich habe dieses Innenlager gekauft, um das alte und verschlissene an meinem Fahrrad zu ersetzen. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Kauf, denn das Innenlager ist von guter Qualität und passt perfekt zu meiner Vierkant-Kurbel. Die Montage war einfach und schnell, dank der mitgelieferten Anleitung und dem passenden Werkzeug. Das Innenlager läuft sehr leise und rund, ohne Spiel oder Knacken.
