Works very well for the price
I really was quite surprised with this unit. I've used BT only OBDII readers before but found that always having to have your found around to use a tool is annoying. Sometimes you just want to check a code without going to grab your phone too. It did take a bit longer than my old unit to connect; but it looks like it supports more newer formats for which it defaults to first in the search. My older 2007 model car was about 3/4 of the way through the protocol list and took around 10-15seconds to connect to the ECU. Once connected I saw all the familiar items one has access to with a scanner. I also tried connecting over bluetooth with the unit. that worked well with the manufacturer's app, and another 3rd party app I tried, so it has a good change of working with many the ELM compatible apps (I'm not going to test them all). There's a small red LED that lights up on the unit to indicate a stored code is available to read. I was able to read it and clear the code. I then put it into dashboard mode and went for a drive. The data rate isn't fast enough to have smooth gauge readouts. It looks to be around 5Hz or so. It does a reasonable job of reading and plotting a single sensor or function, but in dashboard with multiple items it slows down because if you have 5 items to scan, you now are only updating once a second (RPM and throttle data really need closer to 20Hz each). I'm glad I have this unit; it's already proven it's worth, which is a steal.

Does the job well, great value for the money
Having an OBD II reader is very handy to take care of reading codes, clearing them, and in general diagnosing what may be wrong with your car. This is a great buy for the money, and if you're on a budget this can save you time and money. It's simple to use even without reading the manual (why read the manual ?!). It can tell you the car's VIN and other info. Of course, this needs to connect to your vehicles Data Link Connector (DCL) which is almost always under the driver's side dash. I think most people know this. See the manual for details on when to have the car on or off (see- I read the manual!)It's easy to cycle through the menu options and select different parameters. I've used this as a running tachometer, with the display showing m a graph (see pic). It seems to work fine like this. It's not super responsive (there's a small delay), but it's good to see when you engine is running when driving a hybrid (I have a Prius).Whiie this is very handy to have on hand, it doesn't do what other readers will do that cost $50-100, but you shouldn't expect that. This thing is less than $15, so it's a really good value.

Easy to use (even for a newbie)
I've long been aware of OBD scanners but I'd never used one. I've watched other people use them. When the opportunity to acquire one came up I dove in, but with some trepidation. My vehicle is a five week old 2024 Maverick and I sure didn't want to do any harm. For other newbies like me: it works. Just read through the manual and early on don't select any options that have "erase" in their name and you'll be fine. I was able to determine that there have been no codes raised, of any sort. Also, I used the diagnostics menu to determine that everything about my vehicle looked good. It got the VIN right too. I sure wish I had this scanner two months ago when the 2016 F150 I traded in was having a very unusual misfire problem under very specific circumstances. I'd have probably learned a lot. I guess I could design a scanner that always returned a report that said "no codes reported" and pass it off to newbies as a legit OBDII scanner. But other reviewers here are reporting actually doing useful code reporting and diagnostics on problems, and I assume this one would do that too. The device is well built and looks like it could take some typical blows in a shop. The display might get scratched up if abused enough, but the body is made of a plastic that can probably survive some drops. For the price, this strikes me as a very good value. I'll be using it to track my Maverick now as I attempt to drive it until the wheels fall off.
