Seems well made. very good deal.
The generator is a reasonable size, generally manageable for one man to lift or load. Started up on the second pull. Choke worked very well. The engine is a good size and it takes a healthy pull to start. Hopefully the pull starter will hold up well. In Eco mode, it idles down lower and is pretty quiet. My purpose is emergency use, so I haven't given it a complete test yet. All seems good so far though. Included was a plug end to plug into the RV output receptacle. This will be useful in making a cord to feed my breaker box.

Look no further
I've owned several generators over the years, but the PowerSmart 4800-watt stands out as the best by far. I picked it up shortly after moving to Florida, knowing I’d need a reliable backup for household essentials during power outages. Right out of the box, it was ready to go — no assembly required. After adding oil and gas, it started with just a few pulls of the cord and ran much quieter than any generator I’ve had before. I placed it about 10 feet from the house, and with the door closed, I couldn’t hear it inside at all. Just three weeks after the purchase, a nasty tropical storm knocked out our power. Thankfully, I had also bought two 75-foot, 12-gauge extension cords and two 50-foot, 10-gauge cords — each with three outlets, giving me 12 outlets total. I ran the cords through the house and plugged in three standing fans, three lamps, a full-size Samsung refrigerator, a Primo water cooler, a TV, a modem, a portable air conditioner, and my laptop. With everything running, the generator used a third of its available wattage. We also interchanged a stand-alone 2-burner electric range for boiling water, a Gourmia toaster oven/air fryer, and a coffee maker when needed. The generator ran continuously for over 24 hours, powering all 12 sockets without any issues. The PowerSmart 4800 is solidly built, easy to operate, and it delivered reliable electricity when we needed it most. If you're looking for a dependable generator to keep your essentials running during a blackout, this is it.

Smooth, quiet, and efficiency
I am general contractor, we need the power generator for a project that has no electricity. The crew said can't go wrong with a Honda Brand, however the price is $2000ish for the similar features and load. There are many generators available from AMZN, I narrowed to 7 different brands, my final 2 were this and the Champion Brand, I picked this over the Champion due to it is slightly more efficiency and the look. This unit runs very smooth, and pretty quiet. Especially with its ECO mode, one tank of gas can last for few days. The down side for me is that the unit is about 70lbs, which is fine, however with oil and fuel it has over 100lbs. So for me to upload and unload from my work truck is a bite challenge. Otherwise, this is a outstanding generator. I am happy with the purchase.

This is the one for your Travel Trailer! Worked flawlessly!!
Received in a very timely manner, undamaged, and in good condition. Purchased Kohler 10W-30 synthetic blend oil and ethanol free gas for start up and break in, will probably go to full synthetic after break in period. Added oil and gas, oil can be messy so have paper towels handy as the oil fill is pretty deep inside of casing. Generator came with a neat offset funnel, so that was nice of them. Got the oil dialed in and rotated the motor a few times to get it going thru the crankcase. Added fuel, gave the pull start a few more slow tugs just to get fuel flowing and well, to my surprise, it fired up on one of the slow pulls! Generator ran really well and I tested outputs with a few small items, battery chargers, fan, little stuff. Had no problem running them. Pulled generator to my Travel Trailer and got out the big cord. Fired up the generator, plugged up my Travel Trailer, and no problems at all. Started up the air conditioner, dorm refrigerator, RV fridge and freezer, and all inside lights. Generator was barely registering a 50% load per the load meter, and worked flawlessly. It did shudder a little with the AC compressor kicking on, but recovered nicely with no loading issues. I ran the generator non stop for around and hour and a half, the generator performance was much better than expected, quieter than expected, and overall for the price, I am very pleased with my purchase.

A great generator for camping
My power smart 4800 W startup inverter generator has been very dependable, the only thing I wish I would have gotten would have been a remote start but other than that it powers my entire 26 ft motorhome with no issue, we use it for boondocking.

Power smart
I’ve been really impressed with the PowerSmart 4800-Watt generator. It’s been incredibly reliable and useful in a variety of situations—whether it's powering tools on the job, keeping the lights and appliances running during an outage, or taking it out for a weekend camping trip. It runs smoothly and quietly, and the fuel efficiency means I don’t have to constantly refill it. The multiple outlet options are super convenient, especially the RV-ready plug. It’s also easy to move around thanks to the wheels and handle. Overall, it’s been a solid investment, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who needs dependable portable power.

4800 powersmart generator
Arrived defective when trying to run it. I was in contact with manufacturer and they seem to be putting me off .they ask for a video and I sent it to them. Ask me to do certain things and I did them. It still is not running. I ask for someone local to come and look at it or refund or replace it.; None of which they have done. This is a $600.00 generator. I can not afford to lose that kind of money. I need some kind of results to be done.

There is something wrong with the unit. First time using it pull cord broke. I was told part was being sent then it couldn’t be sent to my address. Now being told again it has been shipped to me. Will see if it shows up. Because I was over my time to send it back I could only get a 50% rebate off this unit even though it was the first time it was used. I had a friend buy the same unit and the same thing happened with his. Definitely something wrong and needs to be fixed. Do not recommend buying this or use it as soon as you purchase so if the same thing happens you can get your money back.

I just received my generator. It’s brand new out of the box but the Metal bar is already defective/ dented . It’s pretty disappointing when you’re paying almost $900 for brand new generator. Pictures are attached below
