Our 3d touch is an auto leveling sensor for 3D Printers that can precisely measure the tilt of your print surface. It can greatly improve the printing precision of your 3D Printer, and it is only compatible with Geeetech I3 ProB, I3X and ProW 3D Printer. Note:3D touch auto leveling sensor is not plug_and_play; you will need to do some modification to your firmware and for some control board, you may need to do some soldering work to the connector. We have prepared the pins for you. Specifications: Voltage: 5V Current: 15mA Max. Current: 300mA Cable length: 150mm Net Weight: 10g Shipping weight: 25g Operate condition 3DTouch can be operated in the following condition. One I/O for control (PWM or Software PWM) One I/O for Z min (Z Probe) GND and +5V power Wiring 3-pin: Brown (-, GND), Red (+5V), Orange (control signal) 2-pin: Black (-, GND), White (Z min) Caution Additional power supply will be needed in case your board does not supply enough amperage. Electronic devices can be damaged or even destroyed if connected to wrong polarity. [wrong terminal connect to 5V(+) and GND(-)] Pulling/pushing hard on the push-pin can damage 3DTouch and make it less accurate. Fix push-pin with locking paint after reassembling or adjusting core. Do not remove or deform elastic material attached on the push-pin. Disappointing and waste of time.
On the face of it, this sensor appears to be the answer to all your 3d printing problems. Unfortunately though the reality falls short. There is a lack of documentation, and what is available online is far out-of-date. Once i finally connected it all up, the sensor is constantly triggered and reporting. I ran a continuity test across the black & white switch cables and regardless of the sensor position (up / down) the circuit was always live and so tricking the marlin software into thinking the limit had been reached.Waste of a lot of time and very disappointing. Annoyingly it has taken me 3 months to get to this point and so unlikely to receive a replacement or refund.

not working - sticking plunger
Multiple issues with this, I'm afraid...This was purchased for my Geetech I3-pro B, from the manufacturer, at the same time as the printer. Despite that the "kit" is incomplete - it's necessary to provide additional ribbon cable and connectors, because those with the sensor are too short.I had to place an additional order for those bits. Small cost and delay. It's necessary to de-solder a connector on the printer control board (GT2560) and re-solder new pins (these are supplied). This requires a good deal of competence with a soldering iron. I don't know what would be this situation if the printer control board got damaged in this process? You must re-flash the printer's firmware to operate with this sensor. If you're comfortable with software that's OK - use the forums to get the correct instructions. After all the above, the sensor was faulty - sometimes worked but more often than not mechanically sticking in either the up or down positions.Even with the power off it would "stick" at the top or bottom of the stroke. Rotating the plunger changed where it got stuck - suggesting that it's not quite straight?I disassembled the sensor to see if there was an easy fix but even after clearing the bore gently and blowing through with compressed air there was no improvement.Gave up and asked for a refund.

incomplete, consider it a component of a kit
I understand why is not provided with the self-assembly printer: it would be too much discouraging.Provided cables are definitely too short, I fortunately had purchased a-part Elegoo 120pcs Multicolored Dupont Wire 40pin Male to Female, 40pin Male to Male, 40pin Female to Female Breadboard Jumper Wires Ribbon Cables Kit for Arduino so I even matched the colors contiguously (keeping the triplet and duet of cables attached) with extension cables and saved some disappointment if I didn't have them. Then the board, in my case GT2560 need some soldering to transform a 2pin contact (tird covered by plastic) in a 3 pin contact so it might be necessary to remove the controller from the printer and detach and re-attach all electric cables previously connected to the GT2560.I will also have to redesign the holder of the optional nozzle fan and duct, the optional raspberry pi and the optional camera to hold this optional 3dtouch too all around the nozzle.

Perfect 👌
Great this does take the hassle out of getting my printer bed level. Firmware upgrade is required for this to work and Geetech supplied this for me via email so I didn’t have to program it all myself.

Five Stars
Excellent product, beats conventional proximity sensors hands down

Great little kit which will improved your 3D print quality.
Great little kit which will improved your 3D print quality. I liked that you have to print your own brackettook about 2 hours to setup and change code in the controller

My bad
Couldn't get it to work ended up braking it but was 100% my fault , so can't really give a review sorry
