High quality digital microscope!
This digital microscope is top notch. 4k camera allows for extreme clarity. Love the ability to capture still photos of coins or being able to solder microscopic components on a board. The screen is bright, vivid and has loads of options for adjusting screen setting. Internal battery allows use anywhere at anytime. The autofocus is fast and precise! Happy I decided to get this higher end model. All in all this digital microscope functions way better than expected.

The BEST digital microscope on Amazon - even for viewing microbes!
I bought and tested around 9 digital microscopes - all very similar in design and function as this one. I did this because I like to view micro biologics when I'm not using it for soldering, etc. and most all cannot handle this type of magnification, all but this one - this Tomlov 4k (auto focus version) was the VERY best of all at close up magnification. Hopefully this will save all of you the time I spent on my research - and I'm pretty anal about these things.. The microbes you see in the photos and video are called 'rotifers' - of which you can quite comfortably fit several dozen on top of a period in your average paperback book - completely and totally invisible to the naked eye. I'd say if this 4k Tomlov can view something this tiny, there will be NO issues for 'normal' viewing such as coins and electrical work! I also LOVE the articulating arm so I don't have to move the subject around. I put white vinyl on half of the base - makes it twice as useful and much more versatile this way. btw, I added the LED lights as the ring light is useless for tight viewing.

Pretty good
Pretty good, going to keep it for surface mount electronics. Generally pretty good. Not great for really tiny stuff because you have to get the camera right down on top of it, so you can’t get tools in, but there is plenty of room for 805 size or 603. The aspect ratio is a little stretched. The digital zoom works pretty well at the less extreme magnifications. The picture is about like a budget smartphone, nothing to write home about but perfectly adequate for work. There is one brightness for the flexible lights and a weird separate plug, no switch- you have to unplug the assembly to turn them off. They do help, the top down light around the camera ends up being shiny on a lot of things. The metal surface isn’t great for electronics, I think it needs something less slippery. The screen is bigger than some others, I like it because my neck gets crinked up stooping over something for hours, I think it could be better for posture than the regular microscope. That alone is worth the purchase. I still use the regular microscope for inspecting how the solder pasted reflowed in the oven, because it has a zoom, whereas this one, you have to crank it down and refocus to check a spot in detail. The battery doesn’t seem to work. It’s always plugged in, so no real loss, but it’s a puzzling thing to include.

Worth it
Great unit. If the vertical slide post was taller, it would be perfect.

Excellent value, This one is a winner!
This microscope is definitely worth it. I've played around with USB microscopes in the past, and they have certainly come a long way. However, I'll say this one has a lot of great features that really stand out: 1. The image quality is excellent! I know these advertisements are often photoshopped with "perfect" images shown on the screen, but this will actually deliver that kind of quality! 2. The screen is of a very high 1080p quality. I don't see those gaps between pixels like low-end LCD's used to be. 3. The remote control lets you capture images and video with no shake! 4. The camera focus ring is the whole body of the camera. That one doesn't seem important until you use it and realize that sometimes your lights might block a smaller focus ring. This one is just so simple and easy to use. 5. The base works independently of the camera and the lighting is SUPER bright. You can get all sorts of angles if you are trying to highlight topography by shining light at shallow angles. I also love that you can tilt the camera back, since there are many times that you might not want to view your work straight on. My only criticism is that I wish they used a quick release knob rather than a hex nut on the tilt part. If you want to lean it back, you need a wrench. (bummer) I also wish the glide path was about 1" taller, but it's completely useable as is. Overall, I'm blown away by this thing. At $149, Tomlov really delivered. I can honestly say, "Look no further!" :)

This is an amazing Microscope!
Well, I haven’t had any bad purchases in the past 6 months so, you won’t see anything but extremely satisfying purchases reviews from me which, includes the Tomlov 4K scope. I only review the very bad or the very good so, enjoy this review if you’re considering purchasing this item. My parents left me a cache of old coins. I knew nothing about coin collecting but, I’m a pretty good Beekeeper so, after lots of research, I purchased this Tomlov 4K Microscope. It’s fantastic!!! I’ve had it for a few weeks now and it’s very impressive. It doubles for examining my Bee's health. It provides “excellent” clarity at very high magnification. Get the larger screen (10.5), it’s memorizing (you’ll thank me later). I consider this one of my best purchases. I’ve covered my cost for the scope by identifying some “very valuable” coins!

Avoid the hassle
This product is excellent when it works, but the screen freezes while working. It has a very good magnification and clear image but when the screen freezes, there is nothing you can do to reboot it. A person would have to wait until the battery dies before he/she can turn it back on as the whole unit becomes unresponsive. The remote contrôle works temporarily only. The quality of the material seems good but not reflect the price.

i found no where to grasp the microscope other than by the head which in turn the unit falls apart, it need a handle from the base to the to of the display so it can be picked up. the way the top attaches to the base needs work, something like a bush with a groove so the screws have somewhere to locate, the bush needs to screw onto the head, this way if you did pick it up by the head it would stay in one piece
