Really helps when you are breeding pups and microchipping them to show the new owners they are chipped with the right paperwork

Works well
I microchip my pets and used this to check the chip# before and after inserting. It's a bare bones easy little reader. I've had no issues with it except it's super easy to turn on and can easily be accidently turned on when on a pocket or purse resulting in a sound and wasted battery charge. Charge is good for a while. Its very handy.

Works like a champ and identified a problem with one of our animals chips
We had purchased this as we have taken in a number of strays. If they're chipped, we take them to the vet to be reunited with their owners. If they're not, we put our flyers and keep many if we don't get any responses. This has been a great tool to put into use to make sure that we can get pets back to their owners. We recently also found out that one of our pets' chip wasn't working. We took her in and our vet got the situation rectified.Very thorough instructions, very easy to use, and very accurate. It's one of those devices that you won't realize you have a need for until you do. Solid A+!

Worked right out of the box
For an IFRD tag reader this thing is great as it does more than just read the tags.It is able to store the tag numbers and you can even add pre-fixes to the numbers read.It interfaces with both Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to hook into a database or what other program you may run. I have not tested this on all standards of RFID tags, but I think it covers most if not all.The unit is light and can even be a inch or two away from the chip and get a good reading. The display is easy to read and the menu system is easy to use and setup, and the rechargeable batteries should last the days work. A USB C port is used to recharge this and may even be used for data transfer, but I did not test the latter. The unit is well made of plastic but feels cheap as the coil rattles around inside and and so do it's two buttons.Overall I find this to be a very useful tool for reading tags of all types and a good value for what you get.
