Ok, not really a life saver but certainly a screen and case saver. I've had these type covers before on a Garmin 530 and dropped it onto tarmac. Saved the case from inevitable and annoying gravel rash. There's enough of a ridge above the screen that it should be protected if it falls face down onto a relatively flat surface. I've had this cover for almost a year and had no problems with it. Great value for money.

Good fit

I bought this shortly after getting my Garmin 1030. I soon replaced it with another brand of cover as I was so irritated by this one. Its coverage at the back is poor, so offers poor drop protection. Also if using as a handheld unit for walking (the 1030 can be used for walking or driving as well as cycles) I found my fingers kept accidentally lifting up the back of the cover and the grip on the cover was poor. Even the lanyard of the 1030 was lifting up a bit of the cover as it had not been designed properly to allow for the lanyards existence. Garmin, you have no excuse not to do better than this for a cover design. Garmin estudia bien sus protectores, otras marcas no, garmin deja los espacios de sensores y demás al aire para que la medición sea correcta, la calidad de la goma y materiales es maxima, vale la pena pagar un poco más que los mandé in china por fiabilidad y durabilidad.

Funda perfecta, se queda ajustado y protege bien de caídas .....

Ich habe mir den Originalschutz von Garmin geholt, da ich bei einigen, die ebenfalls Garmin-Fahrradnavis verwenden bemerkt habe, dass die Schutzabdeckung dann doch nicht so genauso passen, wie ich mir das vorstelle. Sprich die Oberflächenqualität oder die Ausführung im Bereich der Bedientasten für das Gerät selbst. Bei dieser Abdeckung passt alles bestens. Leicht am Navi anzubringen, die Bedientasten lassen sich leicht betätigen und es verrutscht nichts, wenn man mal wo drückt oder unbeabsichtigt ankommt. Tolle Abdeckung für ein tolles Gerät.

I’ve purchased four of these now in different colors so I can change them for different bikes. Sure that seems like a dumb thing to do but when your a slow rider it’s better to color coordinate and look good.
