Edge Energy Gels

Love U-can energy gels. They really help keep my blood sugar from dropping too low while exercising. This flavor is enjoyable, a nice hint of sweetness. Other chocolate flavored health products can have an overly sweet or artificial/chemical taste and this does not. Great product.

I've tried various gels and I think the Ucan edge gels give me the most steady long-lasting energy level when running. Also, the taste is mild, not syrupy sweet like other gels, and it goes down easily. No stomach upset. At first, I thought it was too expensive, but after trying a few samples on some longer runs, I was convinced that these gels were superior and met my needs.

Love the taste and consistency of the gels. Most gels I’ve tried are thick and hard to use during a race. These are easy and tastes great.

I tried this for my 14 mile long run, and I loved them. I went off of the good reviews. I hadn't heard of their product before. The flavor was really good. I tried strawberry banana, orange mango and lime I believe. The consistency was perfect. I felt a energy boost every time I ate one. I played with the timing a bit. I took one 15 min before my run, the next at 3 miles, the next at 7 miles and lastly one at 11 miles. It didn't feel like too much and I didn't have stomach upset. Some I've used before would cause some acid reflux which was terrible. The package says 75 mins, but that seemed to long to me. I'll have to keep trying to get the perfect fuel times.*** I have been using these for maybe a couple months? I do love the energy boost, but the after taste is starchy and does make your mouth dry***

I use to use the GU gels & honey stingers, but I was researching these, tried them out and they’re fantastic! I only have to take 1 pouch every 75 mins compared to 3 GU gels. The GU ones started to make me sick after downing like 5 of them, but these ones don’t make my tummy hurt at all. I also noticed a “sugar high” and “crash” with the others, but just solid steady energy with these. I took one pouch before my 5 mile run yesterday and I didn’t have to bring any extras with me- I felt great during my whole run. The only negative comment I have is the taste of the “original” flavor. I had to chase it with something else because the taste was gross in my opinion. But still giving these 5 stars because everything else is so much more important!

Good flavor, zero gut issues while on long runs.

I’m a huge UCAN fan, but the caffeinated flavors (mainly, salted Caen & van latte) in this pack were SO nasty I had to throw them all alway. Not exaggerating, I barely gagged them down. I never post reviews, but I feel compelled to look out for my fellow runners on this one.**However,** the Chocolate was very tasty and would recommend that as a solo pack! Unfortunately no caffeine, but it does pack more carbs than the OG fruit-flavored UCAN (which are amazing IMO).

Great energy gel for runners! I have done 2 marathons and countless other races. This is great to take just before you start a run.
