Gladiator Loop Hooks, GAWALP8PPH

As others have mentioned, these loops are on the smaller size. The outer dimension of the loops measured by digital calipers is about 1 inch. However, the inner dimension is only about 0.6 inches. There is a distance of about 1.1 inches between the loops. As others have mentioned, this inner loop dimension is too small for tools with larger handles like pliers or nippers. Otherwise the loop hook is sturdy and holds my screwdrivers well. 4 stars. The remainder of this review is for those that are struggling, like I was, about how to organize tools that do not fit into the loop hook and do not otherwise have a hole for a J or L hook.Even though all Sears VersaTrack Accessories also fit nicely in a Gladiator GearTrack or GearWall, there is still only a finite number of accessories. They are also on the pricey side for what you get. Additionally, there are no great accessories to hang slightly larger handled tools that do not have a hole in the handle to use J or L hooks. Since Gladiator and VersaTrack do not make a magnetic tool organizer, I created my own. This was simple, relatively inexpensive and maintains the versatility of the Gladiator system.Here is a suggestion that worked great for me: Convert part of your GearWall to a magnetic tool organizer with genuine Gladiator parts as the foundation (see images in comments section). This is how I did it:1. Step one: Use two rows of Gladiator GABK362PSS brackets to create a metal foundation for nearly anything magnetic. These are large 15.5" metal brackets that come together to make a continuous 32" metal beam. They fit tightly on the GearTrack and GearWall. They come in a pack of three, 32" beams (in six 15.5" pieces that come together to form the 3 32" beams). Those brackets only have one lip and do not stay flush with the GearWall. Only the GABK362PSS have two lips and fit tightly to the wall and form a flat surface parallel to the wall.2. Step two: Get a magnetic tool organizer. Though you can pick up magnetic bars at Harbor Freight for a few bucks, I bought Mechanics Time Savers. Step three: Put the magnetic organizer across two rows of the Gladiator brackets and you have now created a magnetic tool organizer for your Gladiator GearWall or GearTrack that did not involve any cutting or drilling into your GearWall. The result is a clean look that is very secure and will hold your items with larger sized handles.If you want to drill into your brackets or cut them with a Dremel, the possibilities are endless with these brackets. You could hang almost anything, magnetic or not (like a shelf or even a non-gladiator cabinet).

I have a little gun clening station set up with some Gladiator RTA boxes mounted above their 6' maple work bench. I ran one of their gear track panels along the wall at the back of the table and use these loop hooks to hold my long cleaning tools that will not fit anywhere else.The bore cleaners for my rifles and shotguns are dropped down through the loops so that the handles are exposed above the work bench, but the rod section is hidden below the table. It works perfectly.Now, Gladiator... why the Costco sized pack? I don't need 8 of these. I could use 4 at the most. So why not sell 2 or 4 packs?

These are fairly standard loop hooks that you would find in any peg board type system. These are great for screwdrivers and small tools such as these. My only complaint with these is the loop is smaller on these than on many peg board loops. I have one pair of pliers that fits into these loops. None of my other pliers with moulded handles fit. GarageWorks drops the ball for hanging pliers.

These hooks are very inconsistent in quality. About half are so loose on the wall track that I have to bend the tabs and crimp the bottoms to make the fit tightly. Once I tweak them a bit, they do work well.

Unless I'm missing it, these are the only hook options from Gladiator. I wish they had some more options. That is probably the biggest negative of the Gladiator system - you are stuck with whatever they think is the right option.

Gladiator garage accessories are the best. They are strong and can be repositioned easily without filling off accidentally when I'm hooking your gear. They are the best and I tested Rubbermaid and Cobalt brands.

Great help in keeping your garage cutter free. Have to have the Gladiator tracks installed to use this product , not bad cost for a small section, but you could end up sending hundreds of dollars @ $ 12.95 a four foot section, doing your whole garage.

Holes are small for most tools. I bought it with the intention to hold screwdrivers and that's all so they work great!

The hooks were exactly as expected

Very useful for pens and screwdrivers.

Don't have to dig through a toolbox to find most used screwdrivers.
