Works well and use it everytime I go on vacation never had it stolen or broken and is easy to unlock and reset. I wrap it around instead of using the lock attached because I find it easy to remove.

Easy to mount. Great deterrent to keep casual thieves from walking away with scooter.Would not suggest for long term or overnight use. Downside is that ALL cable locks can be defeated in seconds with a pair of bolt cutters.

Good Segway branded lock. Lightweight, yet sturdy. Would probably deter a thief for long enough while you're shopping or sitting in a restaurant. Appreciate the fact that it is secured in a handlebar mount and doesn't have to be carried around in a backpack - a big plus if you're popping out to the shops quickly and don't want to take a backpack along. Easy to un-clip from the mount. Good quality combination dial.

I plan to tote my scooter with me wherever I go, however there are those instances where it is more convenient to lock it up. I'd say this is a good day time lock, in a nicer area. You can already tell this can be cut, and if any thief sees a sweet scooter just locked up, it's a matter of time. If you plan on locking you scooter up, at night, overnight, or in the HOOD of any city, I'd suggest a heavy duty U style lock or thick chain with even thicker master lock. No lock is 100%. Again, take your scooter everywhere with you if you possibly can, or don't at all. So again, this is a great lock for quick in and out errands, I wouldn't push your luck.

Somehow it changed it's own combination after I used it about twice. So when I went back to get my scooter, I could not re-open it. Luckily I was dumb enough to not lock the scooter very tightly, so I was able to slip it out, but the lock remains back at the bike rack. I tried a bunch of times to re-enter the combination or ones close to it, but no luck.And now since I can't get it back, I guess I'm out of luck on getting a refund.So now I'm trying a different lock with a key - at least there's not a combination to get scrambled on it.

Looks nice, but there is a sticker over the instructions, so currently it is worthless to me. Not sure how to contact seller so I can get a copy of the instructions to set the lock. Poor packaging. After about an hour of research, and videos about older models, I finally figured out there is a half circle that lifts up, ah ha, and when it is up, one can reset the lock, then allow the half circle piece to go back down flat. Nothing says set like in the older models. Now it is useful, will change to a 5 star product, but the packaging needs redone. DO NOT cover the instructions, please.

this item to me is a deterrent device - I just wanted a compact lock to carry around which allowed me to lock up the scooter to deter people from just walking or wheeling it awayI think the cable is pretty decent but would not put it past a professional thief to get through . But now i can scooter my way to a store, restaurant, bar and lock it up so i don't have to worry about it simply being carried off.Yes mine also had the label over the instructions but it was easy to find the procedure online to set my own code in a jiffy. definitely recommend this little gadget

Hey Segway....print the directions on the inside of the package so that the directions won't get covered with the shipping label! When you open the lock ..all 00000... Feel around the end of the lock enclosure and there is a little washer like cap that flips....flip it 180 deg.. ..scroll ur new code....flip washer back 180 deg and wallah...ur new code is set. And BTW...the part that affixes to the handlebar with a single screw has two inserts that are super easy to remove as needed for theright size. That part has a red button once affixed that releases the whole lock/cord assembly when pressed...the part on the handlebar is just for securely storing the lock....genius design...5/5.

This lock basically prevents nothing. My bike using it got stolen today under daylight. The cctv shows the thief used literally 10 seconds to cut it off. A garbage lock cost my road bike, could have been my ninebot too although didnt happen. BUY A U LOCK instead!

Shocking do not buy.. twice purchased same lock for my sons scooter and twice has locked and been unable to unlock even with the correct codeMadness for waste your money
