Nyko | Dockable, Thin Protective Hard Portable Travel Carry Shell Case with Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Nintendo Switch (Smoke)

Initial Impressions: Despite all of the negative reviews this has, I was surprised that it actually worked. It actually charged while docked and the green light stayed on so that was good. I attached a picture below of it docked and the light can be seen below. I like how it looks and feels on the case. The color gradient is pretty cool and it adds a touch of color to the plain black. I wanted a case I felt comfortable using in handheld and not have to worry about removing it every time I wanted to dock it and ultimately scratching it from either the dock or removing the case. Will not protect from falls nor does it even claim to (I don't really plan on taking it out everywhere) but it will protect the Switch from scratches while docking which I find to be the real culprit of most minor marks. Application: I encountered no problems with putting the case on the Switch console. I made sure I aligned all the fasteners properly and secured tightly. I don't understand why everyone else had difficulty with it but I was able to put it on the first time correctly. Just make sure everything is aligned and you're applying this on a flat surface while you're pressing down every corner. As other reviews have mentioned, make sure you hear that loud final click to know it is secured. Pros: - Charges in docking mode (have charged it 3 or 4 times with no problems) - Thin enough to fit in my travel case (pictured below w/ joy con covers) - Comes with a tempered glass protector (already had one applied but good deal for 10-12 bucks) Cons: - No shock protection - Joy con covers suck The one thing I hated the most about this case were the joy con covers themselves. They were difficult to put on and nearly impossible to remove. It makes it difficult to use the release buttons which I did not like at all since I like transitioning from handheld to using the joy con grip while playing Zelda or something. Only good thing is that they fit in my travel case and look really good all together. I don't plan on using these too often. Overall the Nyko Thin Case is a solid product. If you want a case that protects your Switch while it is docked, this is the case for you. UPDATE: I only recommend this case for those who want to protect their case while docked and not worry about scratching it. If you want a more sturdy and shockproof case obviously this case isn't going to cut it. UPDATE 2: I've had this for 4 months now and it still works great. I've had no issues using it while docked in the TV and it doesn't hinder the signal or charging at all. Still works great.

Beautiful case. The color does not look too bad with the grey joy cons. Was very easy to put on but is hard to take off. Case also protects the Switch well enough except for two slits on the back that makes it necessary to dock the case. There is an issue with docking due to the case's thickness on the bottom. Instead of dropping the console into the dock, you will have to push it down slightly so the connectors make contact. However, I think it is a good trade-off for protection and ability to dock. I am able to dock, charge and play on the TV with the Nyko Thin Case on. Great product!

I bought this thin case to protect my switch when using it in handheld mode. To start, I like the case. I was looking through all the thin cases when I came across this one. At first, I was a bit hesitant due to the reviews saying it was hard to install and such. After looking into it more, I decided to give it a try. One important thing to note, this case is thin and so it needs extra care when handling. Since this case can fit in the dock with ease, the plastic is obviously a bit flimsy. Protection wise, you're not going to get much of it. The best this case can do is protect it from scuffs and small scratches, which is why I bought this. I also loved the fact that it can fit my dock. Another great feature that caught my eye was the screen protector. It is tempered glass and super easy to install. As of installing the case, the process was pretty easy. I recommend attaching the back piece first, then you can lay the top piece. I would recommend pushing each clasp down and push until you hear the click. The cutouts are perfect and I have access to everything: stand, game card, ect. To note: If you install the joycon grips, be prepared to have them on for a while. Also, they do not fit the joy con controller that comes with the switch. The button to remove the joy cons are still accessible and pretty easy to push with the grips which is a major plus! If all you want is a case that will protect your switch from MINOR scuffs and bumps, I would recommend. This case definitely met and exceeded my needs.

Got this as a small gift for Christmas, and as of today, the body shell will no longer stay on. I really had high hopes for this cover. I love how the red and blue design came together. I loved the idea of the sleek shell, and the grips that came with it. The shell feels like it stretched a bit or lost its ability to snap into place. I tried over and over and it just doesn't want to stay put. Also, the system absolutely will not dock with the shell on. I only tried it a couple of times and gave up. I'm more of traveler anyway with my switch so it's rarely ever docked at home. The grips for the joycons fit tight, and are nice when they're put on, but they're really hard to remove which you'd need to do if you wanted to connect them to the controller that comes with the Switch. They will not slide on with the rubber grips on. Again, I don't really connect it to my TV so it's not a big deal for me. It does however fit the "Nintendo Switch Zelda Breath of The Wild Carrying Case – Protective Deluxe Travel Case – Koskin Leather with Embossed Zelda Breath of The Wild Art" really well. I did not have any problems carrying it around in this case. I feel it'd fit in most cases that size because there was still some room when the Switched was placed inside. I feel like the 2 star rating might be a bit harsh, but I'm only going that low because of the troubles I had with mine. I noticed some other reviews had a different experience where their Switch actually docked fine, never had issues with the shell coming off. It's definitely worth checking out for the low price of $10 or $11. Hopefully you don't have the issues I had with it.

It helps to cover most of the back part if AC console back print. The joycon grip on both sides is pretty good offering nice texture to hold on. I had to try this on a few times and make sure all the clips smooth out before it works on the dock. Overall a good case to give just fair amount of protection. Definitely not for those looking for drop proof protection but is good for day to day use

No gastes tu dinero en este producto. Es un asco, no se alinea de manera correcta al Switch OLED. La carcasa es de dos piezas y se deben alinear para que sea firme. No lo es. Mejor trata de encontrar otra opción.
