Infrared Vein Finder Viewer Efficiency Vein Locator,Vein Illumination Detector for On Various Skin

I bought this unit to use in my clinic for difficult IV starts. This product does not work - not even on large veins. It is completely useless. Not just that but in the shipping box they sent over (by accident) the amount of money that the manufacturer charged them for the unit which was about $200 dollars. SO 1000$ profit on a POS product. Don't waste your money. Better spend an extra 1-2K on a reputable product.

I have tried several vein finders, none more than $300 so I can't speak to the high end. But down here in the realm of paying out if your own pocket this is the one that works. Just make sure to read my bullet points below and your efforts will be in vein in no time.1. This is plug in only. No 120v, No IV2. The led's get hot. Painfully hot. Turn this puppy off unless actively using. If you don't you will end up hearing the words hey!, ouch! That things hot!" And if you persist the plastic that supports the led lamps will melt like a chocolate bar on the dashboard of a car parked in the summer sun.on asphalt.3. With use I find the electric plug to wand connection to become loose resulting in brief blackouts that are fixed by a wiggle to the jiggle of course those are layman's terms. This isn't something that breaks easy, It's not fragile, but I would say be gentle whenever handling and don't let others borrow it unless they give you an $80 deposit.4. The less light the better. Also you must keep the entire circle in contact with the skin to see veins.There is a notch in the center the of led lamps. Line the finder up with the vein moving through the center of the circle and out the notch. Now line your stick up with notch, going straight into the circle remove the finder and turn on the whitey brighteys and then find the depth of the vein. The finder shows size, location, and direction. Finding the Depth is the standard experience plus tactile, plus luck system.5. Works on legs, hands, arms. Any place you can get the entire ring flat on skin.The Wand comes with directions that don't list the points I made above. And the above is just my experience. However I am confident your hit percentage on first stick will improve for all but those who are born "vein whisperers" and never miss.See my review photo then remember to only have the light on when examining. I left mine on and while it still works, well let's say I wanted a vein finder I coukd say was well done...I'd say I got my wish.Despite my childlike begging to get in on all the free stuff those who write fake reviews get, I got nothing for this review and purchased this vein finder with my own money. I really love Amazon, but the review system rewards those who write fake reviewss, and prohibits those who write user experience reviews from being even allowed a small pittance for our opinions. We do get to ride a metaphorical high house, beat our bare chest, and proclaim that our writing is the word of Amazon. Pledging that Amazon is the one true retail place to shop, I shall have no other retailers before thee. I swear a vow of perpetual Prime Membership dues Thy monopoly come, Amazon's will be done. As it is in the fulfillment centers so may it be in the Whole Foods, the brick and mortar stores, and trusted retail partners like Kohls. Amen-azon.

Well, it's already hard enough looking for a vein finder without a heavy price tag. We saw two versions of this but decided to go with this one. This one seemed to have real people buying it and the maker also had a few products. So this one didn't seem sketchy to me.I was surprised that it's so tiny but like an idiot I decided to turn it on as it face me. It is very bright even as small as it is. However it does seem to get warm after a few minutes of use.Here are some pictures to show that we bought and opened it. The other reviewers didn't seem to bother with it and it would've been nice to see or believe it was something I could feel secured about. I'll update my rating or info once it is tested by my family member that is an RN that works with babies.

My veins are pretty much shot.So I didn’t have any success with this vein finder. I’m sure if you’re a normal person it would probably work a lot better. But I don’t really know that’s just speculation.

It's a great tool when it works. For some reason, the wear and tear happen quickly and after several uses, you have to hold it in a very uncomfortable way to insert the power adapter as it has a short and the device keeps flickering.I don't even know how to contact the seller or if they'll replace it.A lot of money and time wasted because of how frustrating it is to use.

I am opening up my own direct primary care practice and immediately, I began thinking about the "difficult stick" patient. I looked at some of the cheaper vein finders but they all had mixed reviews. I then asked a seasoned nurse who works for a local hospice for her advice and she recommended this device. While it was expensive, I figured it would pay for itself in the long run. And I have not been disappointed! It almost appears to be magic. It easily shows the superficial veins in the hands and arms. The infrared camera hovers 6-7 inches over the target so it does not have to contact the patient's skin, making it easy to use both hands to easily identify the vein and make the stick. The sellers have been very supportive and have gone out of their way to make certain I was happy with the product. I highly recommend it!
