I bought this BMS for my electric bike project and installation was straight forward. The included wires were long enough that I didn’t need to splice extra cables to it. During its 4 month lifecycle, it never gave me issues. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because it has no short circuit protection. I suppose it was on me to ensure my connections were secure but one bad day in the rain and eventually water damaged the BMS. During my research on a replacement BMS, I discovered plenty cheaper options have that short-circuit protection. Overall, this is a reliable option but just ensure your connections can’t short at all because if they do even once, then you’re out $45.

After hooking up this BMS to 20 new prismatic 25AH LiFePO4 cells, I checked the BMSs' sense lines three times to make sure they were correct, and they were. I then charged the pack, only to find that this BMS simply simply does not work. All cells except 2 limited at 3.4 V but 2 cells both charged up to 4.1 volts, almost to their "...vents with flames" "catch-fire" voltage--exactly what this BMS was supposed to prevent. trying to get it to work, I reduced the charge on the 2 overcharged cells to match the other voltages, 3.4 volts, then charged the pack again only to see the very same results. I repeated this process twice but got the same results. Then I emailed the factory, getting no --zero-- response. In short, it does not work, and the factory does not help. Shame on you too, Amazon, for selling crap--this is a crap product. I have a bachelors in electrical engineering and 40+ years experience working in electronics so I can recognize electronic crap reliably when I see it. This BMS might make a good paperweight, but otherwise, it is just a waste of money.--buy anything else. If for some reason this device still appeals to you, buy it with a big fire extinguisher. :--(

The thing I really don't like and why |I gave it a one star is the instructions it comes with isin't even the same BMS and the one it comes with has 2 different wire harnessess where the instructions show only one now the 6 wire harness i have no idea where to start them at all the exact same wires no difference. I tried to ask the supplier no response with with anything that could help me figure it out. youtube not one video on this exact one I'm currently on 3 different site that help with BMS installs in the picture the first one you can see a plus and minus on the top and bottom so youd assume the bottom is the absolute zero possitive and negetive but when you do the order like go + an - as you go up with 21 wires it be a minus not a plus 20 wires would land it to a opposite so thats the part that confusses me and we are not playing with chop sticks here so the littlest error could be a cost of a huge fire or blowing a 100 dollar BMS or 91 bucks just bs cuz i'm probably gonna have to buy another one cuz there is no name brand on this BMS just all in all no help when 30 dollar BMS have lots of help showing you how. So if your a person who learns pretty easy this is def not your thing you better know BMS inside and out without instrutions or you'll be in the same spot i am cant return it already tried to do it but to scard to plug it in cuz all the balance wires arnt hooked up right and they dont read like the rest even when changed around. this product is so rare nothing on you tube about it only some guy with one but doesnt sday anythign about how to install it very unhappy about this product.
