Works like it should
I bought a Corono pole saw/pruner at a big box store. It is obviously the cheapest thing Corona makes. After maybe 5 years of use, the head unit cracked and came off the pole. The problem is, this model isn't made for a replaceable head (it is riveted on, not bolted). I didn't want to send the pole to a land fill and replacement poles are $50 so it was worth something. After some discussion with Corona custover service, I bought this head unit which is a bit nicer than the previous one. I had to drill out the rivet to get the remainder of the unit off. The only issue I had was that the new head unit didn't quite fit. I had to trim the end off the plastic end on the pole until the new unit fit and lined up with the holes. Now I have a working pruner again and it works great. Caveat - this review was written soon after purchase. Only time will tell how well it works out.

Very nice, easy to install, sharp blade
I bought this one to replace the old pruner head which had worn out. Much cheaper than replacing the whole pole pruner..... much cheaper. The pole part is in good shape and still works just fine, only the head was worn out. It was easy to install and works just fine.

removed what I needed, and it fit right on as a perfect replacement
back in business at less than half the cost of a new one with pole. Wish they sold a replacement big nut for locking it in place, that's started to split. Put a band clamp from a car on it for the time being :)

Cord jams pruner head.
Cord jams pruner head. I made a total of three cuts using this brand new pruner head. Two cuts jammed: the cord got wedged into the space between the pulley and the frame both times. Returning it for a chain drive. This after jumping through a couple of hoops getting the old pruner head off (so old it was riveted on) and the new one secured (no bolt and nut provided, plus it only fits around the old plastic sleeve with modification).

Old Blade Does Not Fit
Had to trim about 1/16" off of existing pole for it to fit. After removing the old cast head i installed this one. Went to mount my old blade to it and wtf it doesnt fit. Between the cost of the new head and blade i would have bought a new assembly if i'd have known. Why TF didn't they say the old blades dont fit? Money thats why. Corona changes the blade mount holes so you'll have to buy a new one. Ripoff

Details are important for a reason...
Although the cutting and levering portion of this pruner preform adequately, the "spring" the pruner blade relies upon to retract the blade after a cut has been made, lacks the necessary tension to retract the cutting blade fully and firmly. The lack of spring tension makes it necessary to lower the pole after each cut to fully retract the pruner blade manually.
