Kylie Minogue (111) (Little People, BIG DREAMS)

Great that Kylie now part of this wonderful series.
Perhaps not the most striking example of someone who overcomes difficulties in earlier life to realise her dreams, but this pop icon it turns out, is very much a role model. As you look at the ‘highlights’ within this brief life story, aimed at young readers you catch a glimpse into why she has achieved so much success.I took my own two daughters to a Kylie concert “back in the day” so I know what an inspiring pop star she was and musically still is, with continued chart success and sold out venues. Perhaps it is a good time to add her to these figures within the little people, big dreams series. What I found most revealing was her shyness but love to perform in safe environments. Despite her sister initially getting more attention and success she never wavered on her own ambitions. The spark and determination was within Kylie; she was not to become a star just because of pushing parents or a determined aunt. She had some inner belief and drive that made her continue with fulfilling her own dreams and finding a platform for her talents across drama, song and fashion.I liked the way her career blossomed and wasn’t restricted by the first things she achieved. She not only made the most of her talent but she grew as a young actor and found her voice in music and dance rhythms. Her courage in fronting up to and sharing her cancer diagnosis and treatment journey is perhaps more inspiring and demonstrates the depth of her personality and scope of her courage. But it is her music that elevates her into a superstar and role model.Another wonderful instalment in this informative and inspiring series.

Lovely little book
Lovely little book, ordered for and read by my 8 year old. The story tells the story of Kylie and it's written nicely. The artwork on each page is bright and detailed and my daughter enjoyed looking through the images before she read each page. Quality overall is good and the printing etc.. is decent quality.

Book celebrating Kylie
I was quite surprised to find a kids book about Kylie Minogue as she doesn’t seem very relevant to today’s kids. However, I learnt from this book that she’s the only artist to have hit songs in 5 decades, so I suppose her career is worth celebrating. The book provides a quick overview of her life and career with fun, colourful full page illustrations. I think the text is probably suitable for 4-6 year olds. It is quite simplified with very short paragraphs on each page. There’s a little section at the back with more details of Kylie’s life and photos of her. It’s a hardback book with a soft spine. It would make a nice gift for an aspiring singer or actress.

Perfect!
Growing up, I watched Kylie play Charlene in Neighbours. Her debut album was the first album I ever bought. This Little People, BIG DREAMS book is perfect - I wouldn't change a thing! ;)

Little people, big dreams books are great. My daughter has already read several different ones so I thought I'd get her this Kylie one.She enjoyed reading and has found a new favourite singer (for now). The illustrations are great, it's written well and even I, an adult, learnt interesting things about Kylie that I didn't know before.Fully recommend.

Inspiring & Child Accessible History Of The Princess Of Pop
This is a nice book for those with children, nieces or granddaughters who wish to show them the possibilities that are out there. There is a series of these books and this one is about the "Princess of Pop", Kylie Minogue. It covers her career journey from a young girl dancing around the living room all the way up to the present day, even dealing with her battle with cancer (in a child friendly way), and the whole thing is very accessible with lovely illustrations and age appropriate text. The book is also not text heavy, so as to be less intimidating to a self reader. At the rear of the book is a more "Grown up" chronological timeline and biography with four actual photos of Kylie.

A superb micro biography of an iconic pop princess
As a pop princess, Kylie definitely deserves her very own Little People, Big Dreams book. She is beloved by early ages, having amassed fans from the 1980s into present day via her acting in some popular soap drama, to her acting, charity work and as an icon to the LGBTQIA community. This book is as fun as the pint sized star, full of bright illustrations and accompanied by her biography in short paragraphs. It is perfect for young readers and fans of the series. #kylieminogue #littlepeoplebigdreams #mariaisabelsanchezvegara

Little People, BIG DREAMS Series 📚
Perfect for my 4 years old Niece who loves singing and dancing but can be a little shy at times. This particular book in the "Little People, BIG DREAMS" collection focuses on little Kylie Minogue's rise in confidence and determination to her eventual stardom. It's a great inspiring book for kids.It has a beautiful hardcover and thick pages that aren't easy to tear or bend. The illustrations are vibrant, stylish and beautifully done. It's a fast and simple read for kids with a great message about resilience and being yourself. It's an enjoyable quick read for bedtime and a great way to lead open conversations with your kids. I love that you can also purchase other books within this series and that the back of the book includes a biographical timeline along with pics and details of the icons life.Overall my Niece who loves performing thoroughly enjoyed it! It's an empowering/inspirational book that conveys being yourself and that anything is possible with persistence 😊👍

Great way to introduce kids to the story of celebrities like Kylie.
My daughter has numerous of these Little People Big Dreams books and they are all wonderful. This one is about Kylie Minogue and tells her life story from singing as a kid to acting and finally success as a pop icon. The book deals with her successes and failures as well as her illness. The text is simple and short so perfect for kids to read but it gets the point across well. The illustrations and drawings are great, as they are for all the books in this series. If you have a little one who likes to read and wants to learn more about inspiring famous people past and present these are the books for you.

Very cute and well illustrated
The Little People, Big Dreams - Kylie Minogue book is extremely well put together and beautifully illustrated. I read this to my 3 year old and she was very into the illustrations and interacting with parts of the story (~5 minutes). There was not a ton of text which is great for younger children and it very quickly walked through Kylie's rise to stardom as well as some challenges she faced along the way. I particularly like these kinds of books to help inspire my daughter to reach for the stars. The price in my opinion is slightly on the high side given the length but not outrageous given it is hardcover with beautifully illustrated pages.

Inspiring Journey of A Pop Star's Raise
This graphic book tells the true story of an Australian pop star's journey to stardom, beautifully illustrated with colorful and engaging drawings. The story is both inspiring and encouraging, making it a great read for kids who aspire to follow their dreams. The quality of the book is excellent, with durable materials that are sure to withstand the test of time. The drawings are charming and appealing to young readers, adding to the overall enjoyment of the story. While the book is suitable for children from early school age to even early teens, younger kindergarten children may find the story a bit complex or less relatable due to its focus on a celebrity figure. However, for older children, this book offers a valuable lesson in perseverance and the pursuit of one's passions.

An inspirational story
By the time my granddaughter is old enough to understand this book, nobody will know who Kylie Minogue is, (Even the Gen Z don't know now) but it doesn't matter, that all of the books in this series have to do with normal people who have a dream and do whatever they can to acheive it. (I did not know that Kylie Minogue had breast cancer... they don't dwell on that topic it is just one line, she had breast surgery and fought it and worked very hard to overcome it.)
