Great reference for making garb for our local Renaissance Festival.

My granddaughter loved the book. We are building her a "Library" of Costumes Designing and Patterns for her future as a Costume Designer whether Theatre or Movies. Wherever her dreams take her. COSTUMES
Good for addressing the different styles from peasant to court. Will help some when making costumes for Children, but must do a little more research to determine dress in the 1200's.

I like anything about the Medieval Period, and Costumes, Clothing, fabrics etc. it’s a wonderful resource.

This book is wonderful. A wide variety of costume, a great number of historical images, clear patterns and dry wit, this book is a win.

Basic, too basic
The telling point here is that the pictures of their finished costumes look terrible.

Good book, very helpful.
My son and grandson are new to the SCA and the costumes in this book are great. They also give instructions on how to recreate them.
