Not a mini set at all. Great build
First I want to address that some reviewers have called this a mini set and that the pieces are smaller and not compatible with the Lego brand. That is simply not true. This is a standard size building set and it is fantastic for the price point. All the pieces were there. The instruction book was in full color and even more detailed than the big brand. I cannot state how impressed I am in the quality of this item. Especially at the price point. I will definitely purchase more from this brand.

Sillbird makes good stuff
I thought that the instruction book, and I mean that literally its a thick book, was done up real nice. Didn't seem to cram too much work into the steps. Printing was crisp and sizing is large enough to clearly see piece definitions which is greatly beneficial in a kit that has so many white colored and/or single stud pieces. Various placement indictors, mostly arrow lines, help as well.Sails were packed with a cardboard backer and that small bit of quality control is appreciated. Because its not something all mfgs do and when they don't and you end up with some creased sail its a real bummer. But that wasn't the case here because the sails were protected and in my case it paid off because the outer box took some big hits by the time it got to my door. But the sails were fine so well done. Now as far as the build goes it was the classic experience of a higher detail alt-brick kit. The mfg here, Sillbird, has some crazy stuff. I own a number of their kits and they've always been fun to build but never have they been 100% trouble free. Popping pieces loose happens, having an ill-fitting piece here and there happens, me reaching for the super glue happens. But nothings ever prohibitive and the results are worth the effort IMO.

This thing is big
:Update: I originally gave this toy 2 stars, but have upgraded it to 4. I have to keep that one star as the toy is still defective. As for customer service they get 5. They went above and beyond to reach out to me after I expressed my concern regarding the toy. The have since helped in refunding me and were fast and efficient. If you have an issue with the toy, I suggest reaching out and they will do their best to fix it. I will definitely be purchasing more items from this company. Thanks.I would love to like this more. Directions were hard to read and the bottom jaw will just not stay on. Its just poor design and has nothing to do with the pieces themselves. Luckily my son is a MASTER BUILDER, and re did the jaw. This thing is massive, so make sure you have like 3+ hrs of time to devote to building it.

Compatible
These are compatible with Lego. This kit is very similar to the standard for building block kits - comes with instructions, and the blocks are separated by steps so they’re not too hard to find. The instructions were clear and this was a super cool gift. It came in a box that was thick enough and good quality and displayed the project on the front - very giftable.

Really cool model but a little unsteady
This was a very cool model to build. It provided a good challenge and takes a while to finish but the instructions were easy to follow and the end result is awesome. The ship is fairly large and the design is well made and intricate. There are a lot of little details throughout that add to the aesthetic of the ship. The only thing I noticed while building is that the ship itself is not super sturdy. There were multiple times where I tried to attach a piece and the whole thing started to tip over. Even once it is completed, any sort of bump makes the ship rock back and forth. It is a great display piece, but I may need to anchor it or prop it up somehow to ensure it doesn't move. Also, there are a few larger sections of the ship that don't seem to be supported well when attached. They are held on by only a simple connection so I was having to reconnect certain parts during the build if they fell off. This wasn't a big deal though and definitely didn't take away from how fun the ship was to put together.

Fragile/ still looks cool
Working on this now, doesn’t want to stay together. The frame is doing it’s job but assembly of the skull is a nightmare. That first paragraph was part way through bag two and I was just getting frustrated with the build. What I said about the skull still holds up, it is very fragile, but the placement makes it so it’s not a point of contact. Display is going to be tricky, I did plan on having it hanging from fishing line but it may go on a shelf. For the price it’s worth it, so many bricks and interesting build techniques. The frame itself is sturdy but this thing would shatter on a fall. The ribs and skull are flimbsy and loose but they look really cool. Took about 3 nights of after work focus.

Many parts are missing
I had to order many pieces from LEGO and take some bricks from my Legos here at the house. Such a shame.

Lots of fun, but not as sturdy as brand name
As someone nursing a broken foot, the skeleton pirate ship set became a delightful way to pass time when I'm over watching tv. With 1592 pieces, the construction process was enjoyable, providing a satisfying creative outlet. The finished product, a collectible skull ship model, serves as an eye-catching addition to home décor or office art. However, it's worth noting that the set feels somewhat fragile, suggesting it's better suited for display rather than interactive play. Overall, a fantastic and therapeutic experience for adults or teens looking for a unique and visually appealing building project.

Okay
Products, bigger than I thought some of the pieces go together but there’s not much to hold them in place so it’s really flimsy other than that OK product

Set Sail for Creativity
⚓️ Recently, I embarked on a creative journey with the Sillbird Skeleton Pirate Ship Toy Building Set, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. Here's my down-to-earth take on this intricate model.Pros:1. Impressive Detailing: The level of detailing in this pirate ship model is commendable. From the intricately designed skull figurehead to the rigging and sails, it's clear that the creators paid attention to capturing the essence of a classic pirate ship.2. Quality Construction: The 1592 pieces included in the set are made of durable materials, ensuring a sturdy and well-built final product. No flimsy parts here – everything fits together snugly, resulting in a ship that can withstand a bit of gentle handling.3. Versatile Display Options: Whether you're into home décor or looking for a standout piece for your office desk, this pirate ship offers versatility. The finished product is aesthetically pleasing, making it a great conversation starter or a unique addition to any space.4. Engaging Build Process: The building process itself is engaging and satisfying. Each step is well-documented in the instructions, making it accessible for both adults and teens. It's a fantastic way to unwind, channeling your inner pirate captain as you piece together your very own ship.Cons:1. Time-Consuming Build: If you're looking for a quick build, this might not be the set for you. With 1592 pieces, the construction process is time-consuming, requiring patience and dedication. It's more of a leisurely weekend project than a quick afternoon activity.2. Small Parts Alert: Some of the smaller pieces can be a bit tricky to handle, and it's easy to lose them if you're not careful. I recommend setting up a dedicated workspace and taking your time to avoid any frustrating mishaps.3. Not Ideal for Younger Kids: While the recommended age is 12+, I'd lean towards the higher end of that spectrum. The small parts and intricate details might be a bit challenging for younger kids, and adult supervision is advisable. The Sillbird Skeleton Pirate Ship Toy Building Set is a fantastic option for those who love a creative challenge. Just be prepared to invest some time in the build process, and you'll be rewarded with a captivating pirate ship model for your collection. Ready to set sail on your own creative journey? ⛵️🏴☠️

A great gift or treat for yourself!
Oh my gosh! I can't say enough good about Sillbird's Skeleton Pirate Ship Building Set.The kit arrived quickly and was well packaged. What are you going to find inside? An instruction manual printed in color and a good sized font. The details you'll need are in that manual. It's written very well. The pictures are just as detailed. Inside you'll find the numbered or lettered bags containing the pieces you'll need to build in sequence. Lots of movement once assembled. The pieces are made of a very strong plastic. The peices have no sharp edges. They snap together easily and are solid. The tattered sails were packaged with support to keep them flat. And there's 1592 pieces. This is not daunting at all - instead it's exciting. And I think we'll be sad to see the end coming. Display or play? Or both? This is a new build for 2023 for Sillbird. I liked the skeleton pirate ship idea. I was curious to see what else they have to offer in their store. Oh, many kits just waiting to be taken home with me!Overall a fantastic model, well made, a great design. Excellent value. Challenging. A toy to share. It looks like they have fantastic customer service, all emails replied within 48 hours. Arrr matey - an easy five stars!
