The Amplified Study Bible, Leathersoft, Brown, Thumb Indexed Imitation Leather – Large Print, February 21, 2017

I love this translation. I love the way it draws out the meanings of the Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic languages. I highly recommend this translation. I use it with my King James Bible when reading and studying. My only wish is that the publisher would put this study bible in a nice premium leather. It deserves it.

I love this Bible. The print is very good. The Amplified translation is very helpful it explains the text you are reading as you are reading the verse. The study notes are not overwhelming like some study Bibles can be but at the same time they are very informative. I highly recommend this Bible I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have.

This Bible is truly outstanding. Imagine reading a passage that you have read several times before, but this time in the Amplified that same passage is New Again with more in-depth understanding.One of the challenges to translation is deciding which word to use from a " word group " but what is a translator to do when all three words are a right fit , in context of the Scripture, but they have to pick one. Not with the Amplified, here all three are made available to you.No " ghosting" of the text, pages are not too thin nor overly thick. Imagine turning pages with reverence for the Word of God.In addition the Font Size is very comfortable, with easy to read Cross Reference Scripture. See pic.

This is an amazing translation. There is so much info and context provided. I highly recommend getting this out any AMP study Bible.

I LOVE this Bible! Within the text are bracketed words which are how the readers of the original languages would have understood it. English is limited in translating from Hebrew to English and Greek to English. Some of meanings and/or nuances in the original languages get lost in the translation. However, with the Amplified those nuances/fuller meanings are provided in the brackets. I love that. It gives me a much greater understanding of the passages.

I love the Amplified Version- the print is readable even for an old person- the thumb indexing makes it easy to use, and the faux leather cover is really nice. Highly recommend this version.

My husband is fine with the large print, but I did order the standard print which is pictured in my order. It would be helpful if Amazon sent what is actually pictured.The Bible is excellent!

The cover and binding are solid with nice flexibility. This Bible looks like it will retain its sturdiness for a long time, judging by its appearance, after the constant use I've already given it. A fairly large Bible, but comfortable to hold with the material used for the cover. The new version with the "amplified" words/descriptions is more reader-friendly than the earlier version: both in the translation's grammar [sentence structure/word choice] and layout [current "amplifications" in their brackets]. This version & translation continues in dependability and accuracy. I consider the wording and sentence structure closer to the style of the ESV, or new CSB, than the more formal ASB style the Amplified Bible has used before. The study notes are well written and provide solid information. The font for the main text is easy on the eyes and easy to read. The smaller font for study notes is still comfortable to read without my glasses on. The cross references are also easy to see. There are two types: The first will be bracketed at the end of a verse to reference a verse(s) that have a direct correlation and the second (often multiple verses) will be listed at the bottom of the page to expand upon the reference(s). Together they make a formidable chain link style reference system. I also would have liked a larger concordance, but the topical concordance does address key names and subjects. I appreciate the indexing of theological notes being indexed both by location and alphabetically. Each book has an introduction and key points. Charts have been placed throughout the Bible but there is not an index for them. Deity pronouns are capitalized. Text is black letter. Old Testament quotes in the New Testament are printed in small capital letters for quick identification. The color maps are also clear and easy to look at in the back of the book. I am extremely happy with this Amplified Study Bible. It's design and features are very inviting and it has become a steady resource as well as carry-along.
