Can i just purchase the Cards only?

You cannot purchase cards only. They all come with the card revealer device.

Are there cards for cat breeds as well as dogs?

This product (100 PICS Dog Breeds) has 100 dogs to learn and play. We do not have an equivalent for cats, but we do have the purrfect game called Smart Cards Cats, which has a pack of playing cards with 25 cat breeds, which you can play several games with including rummy, snap, pairs and top trumps.
