Immersion Blending Jar

This is exactly what I expected--a storage container that I can also use as a blending container for my Vitamix Immersion Blender. The container is sturdy and has a tight-fitting lid. In fact, the lid can be quite difficult to remove if it's tightened very much. The container is roomy (32 oz/960 ml) and of sturdy quality. It's useful for blending soup, beverages, or other items and then putting the lid on it for storage. No transfer of containers is necessary. The shape is designed for an immersion blender and facilitates better blending action and minimal splash out. It's nothing fancy, but it's just what I needed for it's intended use. I purchased two of them. They're a bit pricey but I don't expect to need to buy any more. They seem very durable.

Love my new vitamix stick blender and needed an extra jar for my smoothies. Great quality blending jar.

Jar works fine for blending. But the lid gets stuck when you try to twist it open. I called Vitamix, I'm not missing anything like a washer or o-ring. It's just a design flaw. If you try to pry it off a bit then it will snap loose a bit and then you can twist it off easier. Update: After a couple days of using it the issue with the lid the lid getting stuck has resolved itself. Maybe a sharp edge or something where the jar and lid meet has worn in. Anyway, it's now no harder to unscrew than how hard it was tightened. Revising to 5 stars. Also - there are a few reviews mentioning the immersion blender blades hitting the bottom of the jar. I have the Vitamix immersion blender, and the blades absolutely never hit the bottom. It has a shroud around the blades that prevent that.

I really like this, the only issue I’ve encountered is the seal. It feels loose so you tighten it, and then it’s too tight and you’re having to ask for help to get it open. It’s like there’s no middle ground. Overall, though, good quality, a really good size, there’s not a lot of containers this size, and works well with the blender.

I bought my first one and tried to screw the lid off and on and found the lid got stuck and required a lot of force to remove. As in all the force I could muster. And a really strange pattern where it would go from a little stuck when screwing it on where you could remove it and then if you screwed it on a tiny bit more it would take all the force I could produce to remove it. So I returned it and ordered another one. Exact same pattern. This is clearly a manufacturing defect for a batch because others with this jar don't seem to be running into this issue at all. But I'm going to return both and wait a few weeks before ordering another because the ones I have are unusable.

I don't have a VitaMix immersion blender, I've got another brand that I love. Mine came with a tall cup to use for blending and I've used it successfully for years now. So, why did I bother to get this jar? Simply put, it's got a lid. So I can blend, cover, and store all in one piece. My immersion blender fits into this jar easily, so there are no worries there. I'm not sure why they ask me to rate blending power - the power resides in the immersion blender, not in the jar.. So that's why I went with a 3 in that category.

It’s a good little jar that’s reasonable priced, but with the design, it’s doesn’t mix the bottom well with the immersion blender. It’s good for all liquid but not good for batters with dry ingredients.

I'm so impressed by the quality of this Vitamix Immersion Blending Jar. It's thick and sturdy with clearly marked measurements. I'm going to get another one since I'll be making mayonnaise and smoothies. I can store the mayonnaise right in the jar for a couple of weeks in the fridge while I whip up smoothies and puree cream soups with the other. Now I am inspired to purchase the Immersion Blender, as well.

Love it so much. Makes super creamy apple sauce

Size and 'ribbed' mixing design works well. The container itself feels a little cheap-thin guage and lighter duty than i expected for the price. It's certainly rigid, good size and marries well with the blender. Would have been nice if the lid had an integrated pouring spout option.

Really like this; great for making smoothies with the immersion. Also great for cleaning the unit.
