Usually buy Nespresso capsules for my Nespresso machine but the rate I'm getting through then (3 a day) I thought I'd try a cheaper alternative. Was really surprised how great these tasted. Beautiful golden crema on top, it's a proper capsule. Don't let the price put you off. It's really good quality.

Tried this for my Nespresso machine and they’re a bit of a mixed bag. The coffee strength is weak unless I adjust. If I use the normal amount it turns out very watery so I end up using less to get something drinkable. Smoothness is not really there either since it leaves little grains at the bottom of the cup which makes the texture unpleasant. Functionality is fine. The capsules fit and work in the machine without issues. No complaints there. Value for money is probably the strongest point. It’s very cheap for the amount you get and if you only care about caffeine it will keep you going. The taste is not great though. Thin and not that enjoyable but still passable if you just need a quick boost. Overall I’d give it around three stars. Cheap and functional but far from good coffee.

Solution - Shake Rattle and Roll Issue - I have 6 of these coffees Risretto, Espresso and Lungo - both standard and intense - I really like them, but found an issue the first few times I used the pods - 50% failed, almost no liquid, semi-blocked and caused the machine to stop. The reason was the coffee seems to have settled in the pod and it needs to be shaken prior to use - so a shake and a rattle (not roll) is needed. I did this and have not had any failure to deliver the coffee I selected. I also have nespresso pods and these are slightly less rounded, but I will try different volumes to refine it - but definitely very good value for a very good coffee - plain, flat white or latte. I then ordered an extra 4 boxes of 100 before the sale finished - so 8.57p per pod is a exceptional deal even 12.5p is a great deal for a daily brew (or 3) UPDATE 24 December - Add the roll - I found a couple did not work with just shake & rattle - I needed to roll the sides near the base between my fingers to get it to work reliably - when I did that I had no failures!

I've had a L'or Barista coffee machine for a few months now and stuck to their own coffee pods until now. I thought I'd try these Amazon Lungo pods due to the price and many of the reviews. I wish I hadn't bothered, there's almost no discernable flavour so what's the point. The pods also aren't recyclable unlike L'or aluminium ones that are returned via Podback service. Yes you get what you pay for, 100 pods for less than a tenner but I think it proves that you can't skimp on coffee and still have an enjoyable drink. I'll be sticking to L'Or pods in the future, they are more expensive but full of flavour, lots to choose from and worth the extra. EDIT I've actually changed my mind slightly on these due to the fact that I'd made Double Lungo, hence the blandness. When done properly they're a decent cup of coffee, not L'Or standard (although better than Indonesian) so at the price I paid they're worthy of 4 stars and certainly taste better than the Starbucks pods I tried out.

Je suis vraiment ravie de cet assortiment de capsules by Amazon. Les cafés sont parfumés, équilibrés, et il y en a vraiment pour tous les goûts : des intensités plus douces pour le matin, et des cafés plus corsés parfaits après le repas. Les capsules fonctionnent parfaitement dans ma machine, sans fuite ni problème d’extraction. Le goût est surprenant pour le prix : arômes riches, crème généreuse, et aucune amertume désagréable. Le packaging est pratique, bien organisé, et permet de découvrir plusieurs variétés sans se tromper. Excellent rapport qualité-prix, j’en recommanderai sans hésiter !

Capsule Amazon compatibili Nespresso di buona qualità. Il caffè è molto buono, ovviamente non è al livello di miscele professionali o gourmet, ma supera ampiamente le aspettative per un prodotto di questo tipo. Il punto di forza è che si può bere tranquillamente anche amaro, senza dover ricorrere allo zucchero per coprire sapori sgradevoli. La tostatura media è ben bilanciata e il gusto è piacevole e rotondo. Ottimo per l'uso quotidiano e per chi consuma molto caffè senza voler spendere cifre eccessive. La confezione da 100 capsule (2x50) è comoda e conveniente. Certificazione Rainforest Alliance apprezzata per chi è attento alla sostenibilità. Consigliato per chi cerca un buon compromesso tra qualità e prezzo.

Devo ammetterlo, ho sempre avuto un certo scetticismo nei confronti delle capsule compatibili Nespresso non originali. E in particolare, confesso di aver un po' sottovalutato le Amazon Basics. Mi dicevo: "Saranno le solite, un po' scialbe, tanto vale spendere di più per le originali". E invece, mi sbagliavo di grosso! Con mia grande sorpresa, le capsule Amazon Basics si sono rivelate una validissima alternativa. La qualità del caffè è davvero notevole, con una crema densa e persistente e un aroma che non ha nulla da invidiare a molte opzioni più blasonate. Ho provato diverse intensità e varietà e sono rimasta piacevolmente colpita dalla consistenza del gusto e dalla loro perfetta compatibilità con la macchina Nespresso, senza intoppi o problemi di erogazione. Per chi cerca un buon caffè quotidiano senza spendere una fortuna, queste capsule sono una scoperta eccellente. Sono riuscite a farmi cambiare idea e, onestamente, non credo tornerò indietro così facilmente. Un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo che mi ha convinto pienamente!
