Just what I wanted for my 2015 MacBook Air. I gave it four stars for easy to remove since it takes some effort and I can't do it with a fingernal. I gave it five stars overall since I personally don't care about that! I'm using it for added storage capacity and I doubled my 128GB MacBook in that regard with this and a micro SD card. This is where all large files will be stored, treating it like a second hard drive. As you can see in the picture it fits and blends perfectly with the MacBook.

Got the islice 8mobility for the MBAir Late 2010-2015 model. But used this for the Air 2017 since the specs are the same with the 2015 except the internals.Got this brand because they have a specific website that I felt was of good quality.They tested till 256gig MicroSD. But I got a 512 samsung evo plus.Did it work?Yes the MB Air was able to identify it with this adapter.Read write speed is linited by the usb speed of the SD slot. Yes it is slow but my primary goal is to have an extra space for my very small 128gig SSD.Things to consider.Initially I cant easily insert my 512 microSD into the islice. Upon comparing with my old 32 gig micro I noticed that even with the same shape the Evo was thicker. (See pics)However I was able to gently insert it with some resistance. It was very snug and hard to remove the micro from islice which was expected.The islice fits perfectly into the Air and you need a small hook to pull it out. I used a credit card to pull and remove it.Overall great product, inserts well and no protrusions.Will see how it goes with sleep mode while inserted. So far it works with Mojave OS.

Works great. I hated the idea of a memory card sticking out. This was the solution I wanted.

I received a 2010-2015 model. It is quite hard to insert and remove from the MacAir and there are Micro SD Cards that are working and others not. For those that are not working, when I use a different adaptor, it works. Likely it is because they gave me a wrong one. I specifically ordered the one for 2017 model because that is the Macbook air that I have. How can we resolve this? I could not find a link in Amazon to email you directly.

Works very well... I can put my mac air in to my carry case.

Added plenty of storage to my MacBook Air
