Love this popcorn maker. I purchased the popcorn kit 6oz and it worked very well. no adjusting the temp just turn it on. you are able to see it pop and smell the aroma in the room. I like it because the cart size popcorn maker is too big for 2 people and very hard to clean. this maker could be cleaned using a soapy rag (do not immerse in water)

Works...makes popcorn. Quality: I do not expect this to last as long as my previous (4 years). The unit may last a year or 2; we'll see. I do not recommend

best popcorn i ever had

I tried out a few poppers from Amazon, one being completely broken when it arrived, and the others not popping all kernels properly. This popper gets the job done! All kernels end up popped, nothing gets burnt, and it's pretty easy to clean and use. I will report back if anything happens, such as if it breaks after only a few uses or etc. But so far, I really love it! EDIT: It's been a pretty long time since I wrote this (It's now September 26), and this popper still works great! The quality hasn't changed since I bought it, and I must've used it at least a hundred times now, since my family and I really love popcorn. I'm so glad I bought this. EDIT #2: Wow I forgot I wrote this. It's November 2017 now (more than a year later) and I still use this popper weekly. Still no burnt popcorn and works incredibly well. This was a solid purchase. EDIT #3: My phone notified me this hit 250 helpful hits. Thanks everyone! It's October 2019 now, and I'm still using it. I actually just bought kernels and butter the other day since I was running low. The popcorn maker is still going strong.

I've bought most of the self-stirring popcorn poppers like this that are available. They all suck for at least one reason. Here are the reasons the Nostalgia popper sucks. 1) First, the plastic dome/bowl does not look like the picture. It's more... egg shaped now. NBD right? Except the tapering up the top keeps popcorn from actually going into the top part of the bowl, leaving empty space up top. 2) Nothing is done to keep kernels or small pieces of popcorn from going under the heating plate and to the heating element area. Kernels down there will pop. This means every time you'll have to get a knife or something to get popcorn out of the bottom before using it again, or you'll set off your smoke alarms and get the pleasant smell of burning popcorn. It's awful. (This is a universal problem for poppers with removable cooking surfaces.) 3) The side handles are poorly designed. You can't pick up the entire device, because the handles are only on the removable cooking surface. (The WestBend Stir Crazy, for example, is built better so you can pick up the entire unit). 4) The heating element is 750 watts, which isn't very "high speed". But this isn't a big complaint, it's just a bit slower than others I've had (which were typically 1000-1500 watts). I will say one good thing about this over the WestBend: the heating element actually stays on while popping. The WestBend for some reason toggles on/off which leads to slow popping and lots of unpopped kernels.

Had previous model from same company. It was great but after many years wore out tried other brands - just didn’t pop as good or way to wide for the counter. Hunted down this one and it is even an improved design. Absolutely this is the one to get.

Totally disappointed. It is not popping at all properly. Tried few varieties of corn. I sent to my brother as a gift. I require refund of the monsy I paid
