Smell lovely, with no harmful effect.
What I like most about this cologne is that it isn't giving me a headache like most other colognes. It smell beautiful, without being over powering. The scent does dissipate after awhile, so it leaves a very soft, delicious fragrance. I highly recommend this cologne from The Art Of Shaving, especially if you don't want headaches from harmful ingredients. I love it so much that I am going to buy the coriander scented one as well.

Seemed One-Dimensional, and Very Strong
My wife and I both didn't like the scent - we found it to be an odd mix of too strong but also too 'thin'. It also seemed fairly one dimensional - after a few hours on me we didn't really notice much of a change in scent. While we didn't care for the scent that's absolutely more of a personal preference, and we can see how others might like it. I am deducting a star for the one-dimensionality, however. Looking at the description of the scent I have to assume its just how it wore on me, but it seemed like one of the base notes just overpowered everything else so we lost all of the subtlety.

You should try this.
This is a great clean cut scent. Definitely worth a try. It smells exactly like manufacturer's description.

Classic/old-fashioned, refined simplicity long-lasting for MEN
The Art of Shaving Bourbon Amber Cologne Intense (****½) is laced with herbal undertones and recalls the grand heritage of the classic tonsorial, gentleman’s lounge tradition. Some may call it old-fashioned... a little bit. It has a long-lasting, manly scent, which features: lemon primofiore and cypriol head notes; vanilla, lavender, and saffron heart notes; patchouli, sandalwood, labdanum, amberis base notes. It is quite intense, though not in an overwhelming or pushy (wimpy/flowery) way saying: "I am here, look at me", but clearly signifies strong presence, like the breath of a man having a drink of $100+ brandy. Its signature bottle is made of extra-heavy glass and has a magnetized cap inspired by the nickel engraved razor design.

Smell made me sick
I don't know what's going on with that product but it doesn't smell like the same one in store (where I smelled it for the 1st time). As soon as I opened the bottle I noticed that the smell had nothing to do with what I remembered from a few days ago. Made me sick today as I decided to wear it anyways. I guess I just burned $60. I'll use it as deodorizer in the bathroom.

(+) Classic, masculine scent; spice notes; reasonably long-lasting (-) Expensive
This is a VERY nice scent for men trying to smell masculine-- slightly woody, very slightly earthy, with spice and vanilla notes. It's strong without being overbearing, and the scent lasts a decent length of time. I get compliments on it fairly often. As much as I enjoy it, though, there are many scents I'd likely buy at this price point. I don't know how much repute Art of Shaving has, either, or what kind of brick-and-mortar presence they have, but for this price, I'd want to smell it before buying.Still, I'm pleased with the scent and am happy to have it in my wardrobe.
