I ordered the Appeck smart corner floor LED lamp because I was looking for another lighting source with a strong display to use in my bedroom. So far it has really been great. Our family loves it so much it was moved to the gaming room and has been a perfect addition. There are so many led light display options and motion settings. I love the app abilities to light up certain components on the light strip. The only thing I struggled with was during the setup it was very hard for me to push the light strip into the backing. I think that part was the toughest to do. Other than that, the setup was pretty easy. There is an option to control the device without the app as well so that helps if someone wants to use it without app access.

I’m not sure if the other people in the comments had theirs pre-made or what. Putting the metal pieces together takes almost no time however i’ve been working on this for over an hour and I can’t get the light to easily slide on the track. It’s super difficult and i’m giving it about 10 more minutes before I go to return this. I was super excited but this product isn’t what I expected it to be.

There's a lot about this lamp that I like. It has a variety of colors, the remote is responsive and easy to use, and I really love some of the strobe and ombre effects that this light can pull off, making any room an instant party if you choose. It can also be a basic warm white if you prefer. It gives off a good amount of light and I like that the light shade isn't breakable... but it is a little strange that it's rubbery... The lamp did require some assembly. You have to be very aware to make sure the holes align... I was eventually able to get it. But I did have a hard time getting the light strip into the black metal base. It doesn't seem to fit in there perfectly. This isn't something you would notice unless you're up close and looking at it sticking out a little... But I know it's there and that drives me nuts. Nonetheless, the light itself is really neat and works perfectly in our house. The remote is a great feature and allows us to turn it on and off with out being right next to it or having to plug/unplug it from the wall.

I've ordered several lights of this general type (free-standing RGB LED tube "party" lights) and there are standard features that most of these lights have (remote control, a wide range of colors and transitional effects, speed and brightness controls, music reaction feature, etc). This light has all these features to a standard degree, so I won't take much time commenting on them in this review and focus rather on the things that make this particular light different from others I have owned.The first two things I notices were size and quality of materials. At nearly five and a half feet tall (65"), this thins is easily the tallest of these lights I have owned and that means more light show for your money. The materials are also a notch above most others in this price range - from the weighted base to the metal casing and thick silicone tubing that contains the LED strip, everything speaks to the quality and attention to detail this company put into its product.Assembly was pretty straight forward though the instruction manual was of little help when it came to the trick of getting the lighting tube slotted into the metal housing (a task that come with some moment of gritted teeth for me). It was equally unhelpful regarding the odd dangling bit coming off the on-cord control switch that seems like it's supposed to attach to something but I cannot imagine what. Of course, there is nothing in the manual that shows this part or suggests what it is for...The only thing I found fault with in the design of this unit is the single set screw used to hold the light to the base. That is a mystifyingly poor design solution for something that will be taking a lot of stress when the light gets moved around and it is not very effective at keeping the light straight (a comment I have seen other reviewers make as well). This one flaw is so annoying to me, it is the reason I am knocking a star off this otherwise 5-star item.Recommended with the caveat that you should be careful when moving the unit (perhaps go as far as picking it up from the base) as I highly doubt that little set screw will hold for very long if you pick is up from the light.
