Great expansion for the base game. The new enclosure shapes add variety, and the reef mechanic keeps things interesting. But the best part by far: the new action cards! Adds variety to every game and encourages flexibility in strategy. If you enjoy Ark Nova, then this expansion is a must-have.

Definitely a must buy for all Arc Nova lovers. I used to play the base game for a long long time, assuming an expansion would not add a lot and that I prefer spending the money on a different new game instead of an expension. Well, this is apparently correct for most of the game expansions, but not this one. The Marine worlds is a great expansion adding all kinds of new aspects to the game. There are originally already too many cards in the base game, but it is not only the new type of animals, you get more sponsors, different conservation projects (some just replace too ease the original cards) and a new university type, which I find very cool.

Love the base game. Normally don’t care for expansions. However, this one addressed some imbalances in the original cards (with this many cards, sometimes that happens). It also introduced some new mechanics (animals, sponsors, action cards) that alleviated some frustrations with the base game and/or provided additional variety in gameplay. Like the wave mechanic that flows through cards. Everyone has their favorites and those they hate, and this makes it more challenging to pick up a card showing before it goes away - and it lets you get through the deck quicker.
