That’s just prime!
This was a great edition having already purchased Siege Ultra Magnus. I tend to think of this purchase more as Delta Magnus but in either case, it displays nicely.

Close, $%*# it close!
Shattered glass Ultra Magnus. If you want an evil Magnus, look no further. Not much else to say, if you're looking at shattered glass your so far down the rabbit hole it doesn't matter what I write. Yogurt salami. Just buy it already.

The problems I have with this fig
I have been wanting this figure for a year. When I saw this I bought it instantly. But when i tracked the package it took around 5 to 6 days to start shipping. When I got the figure I saw how the head was down I move it and it was so loose. And when I opened the box it had no comic. I have bought one other shattered glass figure and it had a comic. I am very mad about these things. But the figure has very great playability

Nostalgia for the 1980's
I was maybe 10 years old and visiting Best of Two Worlds Comics (or named something like that) on Columbus in San Francisco in the early to mid 1980's. Transformers were a hot new toy and people couldn't get enough of them - I was an early addict as well. The store carried exotic offerings like Godaikin Forces Dancouga, and other items I had never heard of and would never have seen at Toys R Us or KayBee Toys. In a glass case at the checkout counter I saw a figure both familiar and new - it was a blue Optimus Prime! Even more amazing was that Optimus was wearing armor! I couldn't get over the idea of Optimus having a helmet with a face on it, and bulky armor that looked like the Armored Veritech from Robotech (GBP Valkyrie for you Macross purists)!Like most of what I saw, "Armored Optimus" was beyond my means (my allowance was $1/week). I never forgot that toy and there was something of a deja vu when a few years later I saw the figure again, in a different form. Instead of the darker, gritty color of my memory, the new "Armored Optimus" was a bright white Optimus Prime wearing armor colored like a 4th of July Parade! I did ask for this G1 Ultra Magnus but I still coveted what the internet now tells me is Diaclone Powered Convoy.Shattered Glass Ultra Magnus captures the dream toy of my youth with more comic/TV accurate proportions, and the articulation we've come to expect 40 years after Diaclone/Transformers first came out (when I was a kid, it didn't really bother me that G1 Ultra Magnus is basically a brick on roller skates) There is even a demonic head and blazing red sword for this evil mirror image Ultra Magnus. My only beef is that the heads require a bit of force to switch. Otherwise I was thrilled when Hasbro/TakaraTomy decided to release this recolor of Kingdom Ultra Magnus.Of course, I pretty much leave this guy in "armored" robot mode with his friendly face, just as I remember 30+ years ago.

Great if you wanted to open it but not great if you wanted to keep in box
I recieved the figure in box with good wrapping for shipping but the toy box was ripped and smashed and had stickers in every side saying it was checked for quality control. Luckily for them, I did not intend to keep it in the box. If it were a Christmas gift, for any one of my nephews, I would be mad because they would think it’s used and broken and returned … but once I opened it, y the stickers were correct. The actual figure was in great shape and all accessories were there. Too bad about the box tho. Cool graphics on there…
