Rickenbacker Guitars: Pioneers of the Electric Guitar

The book covers from 1931 into the 90's (not until present day.) I own several Rickenbacker Guitar and Bass Books, and this is by far the best COMPREHENSIVE book I've found. Well written and thousands of gorgeous photos. Lots of info on Rickenbacker artists including the instrument details. Well worth the $49.95 price.Please note this book replaces the previous book which was called "Rickenbacker Guitars - Out of the Frying Pan and into the Fireglo" by the same authors.

A good deal of research, original photography and interviews went into the making of this definitive book on the Rickenbacker brand. Accessible to guitar enthusiasts and curious readers alike.

The history of this brand is deep and interesting. Most of the details are finally in one book. Great images. Only issue is the tiny font used to tell the story.

It looks like this is a re-packaging of "Out of the Frying Pan and Into the Fireglo" from 2021. (Terrible title). Same authors, same press, same number of pages. Better title, though.This book had much to recommend it but also some drawbacks and disappointments. It's a beautiful book with tons of great pictures, really high quality paper, well made. A true fan book. I can't recall more specifically what my reservations were right now but on the whole I'd say any Rickenbacker lover will be glad with it. But you only need one of them.

A worthy follow up to 'Fender The Golden Age 1946-1970' A must have for all guitar lovers and Beatle fans.
