It's a nice starter kit for experimenting with this type of tiling. The package doesn't come with enough for any larger projects but for smaller projects and practice it's definitely a nice way to start out.

nice color, well cut and sized pieces

I’ve purchased pre-cut mosaic glass in the past and it was delivered in a flat plastic snap lock case then tucked into a bubble-lined protective bag. This glass was delivered in exactly the same way. It’s glass so I always expect some glass dust/residue and like the others I’ve purchased, this one had some particles but it was minimal when I sorted the pieces.The colors of the glass are really beautiful and I’m especially pleased to have a darker assortment of iridescent glass since I was expecting more of a pastel palette. It was a nice surprise [and I hate surprises!]. As you can see from the photos, there are a variety of shapes and colors and the non-iridescent side of the glass is always an option. The shapes I’m especially looking forward to working with are the circles, petals & fans. Some of the glass is a bit rough around the edges but I expect once it’s used in an art piece, these imperfections won’t be noticeable. I can always try to nip the rough edges off too. I'll probably break some of the pieces down even further because I prefer to work with smaller pieces on small projects. Even if they look rough cut, they should be just fine. With that said, the rough edges require careful handling but I’ve yet to finish a project without a wound or two along the way. I haven’t decided on a project yet but once I do, I’ll post a picture.I’m really happy with this assortment and would consider purchasing more glass from this seller since they offer six color options in total. Lighting is always a problem for me and the photos just don’t reflect the brightness of the glass. It’s so much prettier than how it looks in the photos!

These are not cut well at all. All pieces are jagged and not smooth at all. You cant really use them because of all the pointy pieces on the edges.

I ordered these Glass Mosaic Tiles for embedding into polymer clay. I like the size of these pieces and the variety of shapes. I also like that they are not very thick. They are thick enough to be very sturdy but not so thick that they add a lot of weight. It looks like the iridescence comes from a thin coating on one side of the glass piece. The other side of the glass is just glossy with no iridescence. So this gives me options. I chose the mixed color set so I could see all the variations of color rather than just having one color. These glass pieces are a little rough, like they aren’t clean cut on all sides and there are a few jagged edges. However, I am going to embed them in clay so this is not a problem as I can cover all of this with clay. Using these pieces to make a mosaic will also cover any jagged edges. I think the colors and shapes of these pieces are great for my projects and I’m so glad I found some glass pieces that will work. The glass can be baked in the oven with the clay with no problem. This set provides a good amount of pieces to play with and I’m looking forward to experimenting with them. These are affordable for the number of glass pieces you get.

These are beautiful mosaic pieces. In fact, I would say these are perfectly fine for budget mosaics, and student projects. The finish is beautiful, and the colors are vibrant. However, if you look at the photos these were very roughly cut. Now, I know the time can be taken to finish these nicely, but that kind of takes the convenience away.

I do mosaic work, I bought these because it had a variety of shapes so I thought, but I couldn’t even do one flower because there was only 1-2 of each color. Petals ,the little scale looking deals , circles there are only a couple in each box, I’m going to return for one color so at least I can make at least one design. Like I said glass is perfect but what they put in the box, ur not able to make a pattern. I figured they would at least give you a certain amount of each color. NOT THE CASE

These iridescent glass shapes are even more beautiful than the picture! The colors are just delightful! There is a good variety of dark and light colors. I really like having the shapes already cut and not having to cut them myself. It's nice that they came in a plastic box instead of just a plastic bag.This is real glass and the edges are not sanded so they are a bit sharp, but certainly, no one would have to worry about being cut by one of the pieces. I have handled all of them with my bare hands without any problem. The shapes are not exactly perfect but close enough. I am going to use them in combination with some square iridescent tiles in a mosaic design on a small wood mirror frame.I am excited to get started and I know I will be ordering more of these.
