Even after the novelty has worn off, this can is a keeper. Bought to replace a deep, hard to clean, pedal can that was an eyesore. This can is visually appealing, has a lower profile, no pedal sticks out, it uses regular 13-gallon bags, and holds as much as the old can but stays much cleaner. And is just more fun, which is a funny thing to say about a trash can, but true. A light flashes when it's opening and closing, and changes from white to red when the batteries are getting low. House guests had me order one for them. Second son had me order one for him. Directions were a little vague, but this works for us when changing out the bag: set the lid aside, put the bag into the can and pull 2 inches of the bag up & over the edge of the can. Then put the ring inside the can, and pull the top of the bag back into the can, covering the ring. The bag does not show when the lid is closed. When the bag is full, lift the bag and ring out of the can together, then remove the ring and tie up the bag. It's tidy and secure Magic.

This is our first ever motorized lid trash can, and it’s pretty neat! The lid has sensors and does open. It is a slow opening and u have to go over the sensors in just the right way… if u r in a rush this is not a trash can for u as it will slow u down. For the money this is worth it and meets all our needs. I would like it to be less finicky and have a bigger censor area that would allow us to open can a bit faster…very easy to change bags and this design allows us to use all the trash bag space and we can put more trash in this bin then our others past.

Beware! The lid stopped functioning after only a couple of months. The manufacturer refused to honor any warranty on the basis that they didn't have the same item in stock. The trash can itself isn't all that great, either. My previous trash can worked a lot better. While the motion detection (when it works) is OK and has a set distance, it's easy for gunk to get under the lid in such a way that it doesn't close correctly. On top of that, it uses mere AA batteries, which run out frequently, requiring frequent changes. Worse still, the battery compartment is INSIDE the trash can, so it gets really disgusting and it's a pain to change the batteries. Similarly, the ON/OFF button is also inside the trash can. In short, this trash can is a waste of money. I highly recommend getting one that takes large C or D batteries, has a battery compartment on the back of the lid rather than inside the can, and comes from a more reliable manufacturer.

Great trash can! Weird to say some trash cans aren’t good, but they just don’t open as smoothly as this one. Good quality.

Se compro para un local comercial el cual no estaba listo para presentarse. Se quedo en el mismo empaque que se meando ( lo cual venia muy bien empacado) solo que cuando abri la caja y lo saque el dia de hoy vi que tenia golpes en el acero inoxidable. Ya paso mi ventana para poder hacer la devolucion entonces ya me quede con un basurero nuevo que parece que tengo años con el.

I love this garbage for my bathroom. Having a black and white bathroom the details on this compact garbage is fantastic. Black lid, white pedal, black trim it looks so good. So much better than a regular, white or black garbage can. It is sturdy, came assembled, only had to attach the pedal and also included garbage bags that fit perfectly. Super happy with this purchase.
