The paper is super smooth. I wouldn’t say it’s THAT much of a noticeable difference from normal paper, but I feel fancy saying that it’s stone paper 😂

I love that it's tear resistant. I use this as a personal journal and I throw it in my bag. Sometimes I don't close the cover and surprisingly the pages have not ripped.The pages are a bright white, and for the most part I don't see much bleed on the back UNTIL I use gel pens. The water resistance makes it difficult for ink to dry. All of my pages have smudges until I use a regular ball point pen, marker pen, or erasable pen.I left my journal open after 2 hours of using a gel pen and I still had smudges when I closed it. However, I love how strong the journal is. If anyone uses erasable pens, they're really easy to erase on these pages.But considering this journal isn't incredibly stained or torn after staying in my bag and purse, I'm impressed.

I wanted to buy this but after the reviews was so worried. A few things to know: totally waterproof, will not rip (impressive we tried lol) BUT gel ink will smear horribly- however, if you write and give it just a minute or two to dry , it will not smear . The only downside is o have blurred vision that can be fixed and the lines are doubled on the page - which doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.But whatever, I’m happy with it! I work in the field constantly so having something that won’t rip, get dirty , or tear is kinda awesome 👏 if you’re hesitant I suggest giving it a shot and you can always return it !
