Great sensor, works really well
I am using this outside in my greenhouse and it has flawlessly kept track of the temperature and humidity for the last few months. It was very easy to setup within the Switchbot app and the app then allows you to track the stats over time. I have no complaints about the app at all however I have incorporated it and monitor the temp/humidity instead within Home Assistant which also works just fine. The sensor connects via wifi to my router and as above the sensor is outside the house in my greenhouse. My router is upstairs on the same side as my garden where the greenhouse is and I've not had any problems at all with connectivity. I do have temperature/humidity sensors in each room within my home and before placing it outside, I did compare it with my other sensors and the readings see accurate on this device. I don't know how accurate the battery level is but it's still showing 100% after a few months of use - it does claim in the advertisement to have 2 years battery life. The device is well made and appears to be fully waterproof so I think it would indeed work without problem outside (not within a greenhouse etc.).For the price, this is a great item and I certainly would recommend.

Great functionality and good price
This little box really works. Shows great graphs of humidity and temperature. Simple set up, long battery life and no wifi needed. Cheap for what you get.I put one under the floor before nailing the boards back on to monitor dampness over the next year

Seem very good for the price
The first pack of three I ordered seemed OK BUT one of them was over reading the temperature by 20 degrees! A bit too much to calibrate out!Obviously they have been returned for a refund and I decided to take a punt on another set which arrived today. These are very good and having let them settle for 20 minutes or so on my window sill all three are matched within 0.1 degree C and 1% RH.They are very easy to setup, the case is compact and looks well made, from decent plastic, and they can be used free standing, attached via the supplied 3M adhesive pad or hung up using the supplied lanyard.Early days yet, I have not checked how far away from your phone you can get reliable readings, possibly not that far as they use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) profile but I will try that out shortly as I hope to use one of the sensors in the greenhouse.Overall very impressive as I was particularly interested in a device which shows the calculated dew point which these do along with loads of other information which can be in graph format apparently for the last 68 days chosen from a calendar - might have to wait for it to download from the sensor for a while? The only cons are that I did get a faulty product first time around and you have to load the "SwitchBot" app on your phone, from the Playstore, to actually use them although the app is very well implemented. This now means I have four different apps to cover these and various other devices although the majority of my devices use the TP-Link Tapo app (I was trying to standardise). It would be nice if the manufacturers got together and produced a common app for these things similar to Google Home, but hopefully much better as I find that to be very poor!Of course these devices CAN "talk" to Google BUT only if you purchase their Hub at considerable extra cost. The listing specifies that the Hub uses WiFi but I assume that is only for the Hub - Router connection whilst the Hub talks to the sensors via BLE? Depends how much value you place on being able to ask the question "Hey Google, what's the temperature in the greenhouse?" For me just tapping a couple of icons on my phone screen is easier (and silent) especially if Mr Google is in one of his obtuse modes today! The icing on the cake - when I got around to re-ordering this set the price had dropped by about £7!p.s. As I am typing this temperature variation between the sensors is now 0.3 degrees but they are still within very reasonable limits and in agreement with various other devices I have here.

Simple, easy to use, good app interface
Well built, easy and ready to use right out of the box. Quick connection to my SwitchBot Hub Mini. Good features and app interface. Build quality looks good with clear waterproofing around battery compartment. Good value for money. Interfaced successfully with SmartThings

Brilliant devices whch have turned me into a weather geek.
Really all I needed was a replacement for a simple, broken outdoor thermometer but I saw these SwitchBot devices on Amazon at a very affordable price. Even more affordably you can get a box of three for around £20 so I went for this option. They come with AAA batteries pre-installed (estimated lifetime 2 years) and a specified operating temperature of -20C to 60c although ‘best between 5C and 50C’. The instruction manual was probably designed for the Queen’s Dolls’ House but is fairly easy to follow with a Q code for setting up the app on iOS or Android. Connectivity is via Bluetooth which should provide adequate coverage but needs a bit of experimentation if, like me, you have an old house with very solid walls. So why a ‘weather geek’? Well what I didn’t appreciate when I bought the devices was the remarkable amount of data they not only provide but also store. They measure temperature and humidity about every 15 minutes and store these measurements internally so that on your phone you can get the current readings immediately for all thermometers or within a second or two your can see on a graph how the measurements have changed over the past hour, day, week or year. These data can also be exported as csv files. I haven’t tried that at yet - and probably won’t. Even mor geeky the devices compute and display such things as Dew Point and Vapour-pressure Deficit which can be a gripping topic at any dinner table.Better still for the real geek, a few more pounds will buy a SwitchBot Hub Mini which puts the Bluetooth readings onto your server so that they can be viewed remotely: handy if you can also control your Central Heating remotely, as I am able to do although not via one of the many SwitchBot additional tools.

Great for extremities
I got 1 Switchbot IP65 Outdoor Sensor without a hub. I don't have anything to integrate it into but the bluetooth connection is solid. I like that it works as a stand-alone and it was easy to set up. It's sleek and much smaller than I realized which is a plus. It's the most accurate hygrometer I own and it refreshes quickly. I've included a screenshot of what the sensor reads while connected to the app. This has the best IP rating that I could find (within reason). The first number is for dust and solid particle resistance, 6 is the maximum. The second number is for water and moisture, and goes up to 7. This one has 5 so if you accidentally douse it in water, like with a plant watering can or rain, it'll be totally fine as long as it can dry off after.I'm using it to moniter my terrarium of tropical plants that like sustained extreme relative humidity of 85 - 100%. I'm confident it'll be able to handle these conditions and it doesn't seem to affect accuracy as far as I can tell. The user manual says the ideal operating humidity is 20 - 80%.I hadn't heard of this company before but a quick search on google and this sensor has me impressed and if it lasts as long as I think, I'll be back for 3 more.

Love this thing!
I was trying to find a thermometer for my beehive over the winter to monitor the conditions and this does the trick! It’s small and compact and works way better than I was expecting. The app design is easy to use and well thought out. The Bluetooth connection is ideal for the location of my hive instead of having to rely on wifi. I can consistently connect to the thermometer quickly from 20 feet away. Very impressed with this product!

Excellent
Très simple de mise en œuvre, précis, pratiques, génial pour faire des mesures de température/hygrométrie nomades même si bien entendu ça peut être mis en fixe. Pas de câbles, grande portée en Bluetooth, bref un super outil.
