Not Your Momma's Safety Bar
I suffer from gout and when I have an attack it's really hard to get in and out of the shower. I decided that I would add a dreaded grab bar for safety in the bathroom. I went to my local big box home improvement store and looked at the offerings. I hated them! They all looked like something you'd see in a nursing home. I know I'm aging, but I'm middle aged and I didn't want a bar in my bathroom to make it look like a care facility. I'm so glad I checked Amazon. This style of bar is stylish. It's actually attractive and yet adds an element of safety to my bathroom. It's easy to hold onto and is of nice quality. My husband installed it without any difficulty. He's also happy that it doesn't look like it belongs in grandma's house.

Pretty elegant Assist bar
I love the Delta Assist. I found by accident in big box store. Now I hunt them down. I have the toilet paper holder and assist hand hold in all bathrooms. Got this hand bar for guest bathroom for set in and out of bath grab. The magic is behind the pretty outside. The mount has bolts that need predrilled and then socket ratchet into stud the 1/4in 2 1/2 " long hex head lag screw. Not the rip off wall towel bar. 300 pounds resistance tested when you use lag bolt screws into studs. I only have one stud on this 9" bar but used the delta strong toggle bolt on far end. Bought another for pretty assist bar.

Classy senior friendly grab bar, with Delta quality. This can be installed vertical or horizontal. Great for smell spaces like outside the shower or in a RV.

A Beautiful Bar for Aid Anywhere
This is a beautifully short, curved bar to grasp anywhere where help in rising might be needed. It can be installed easily with a 2 x 4 backing or on a more open surface without backing with the tools provided.

VERY happy with these
I have 4 of these now installed after installing one, and waiting long enough (a year) to see if it would rust or discolor. It has held up perfectly - looks brand new - so I got 3 more and love them. They are deceptively functional - not knurled, but VERY easy to grip and they provide a VERY good sense of security. I have mine mounted horizontally - and with the arc at the top - like a 'hill.' VERY well built with all the hardware you need to mount - whether with stainless lag bolts, or banjo/wing bolts. If you don't know what's behind the tile, start with a smaller hole and see if the lag bolts have something to adequately bite into. If they do - the easier solution. If after drilling you don't feel anything for them to bite into (wood would be great), then go with the larger holes needed for the banjo/wing bolts. My humble advice.
