Wow! Just charge it and set it. It worked great. Make sure you close the lid of the grill. A little loud as it knocked against the side, but I’m glad I purchased this. I no longer dread cleaning the grill.

Bought it for a gift. I was told by giftee that it worked great and that they loved it.

Did not hold a charge

I have no idea how well these things might work, since both the first one and its replacement were DOA. My wife bought me a Grillbot for Christmas. The battery failed to charge after 6 hours (they say it charges in 3 hours). The display flickered but indicated the status bars as one would expect, however nothing happened and it would not function. After discussing with their customer support, I tried everything they suggested, including checking the UBS charger capacity and trying a second one, as well as “resetting the battery” by unplugging it, waiting and plugging it back in. They wanted to send me a new battery, however they provided no justification why they thought it would be the battery and not the circuit board. (Note that I am an engineer by profession. I retired as a senior product support manager for a large international avionics company.) Note also that the battery was loose and not attached by its adhesive pad and one of the two foam paddings pieces in the battery compartment was also loose. I paid for a new unit, not for a refurbished one that I would have had to troubleshoot and attempt to fix myself. So, I returned it for a replacement. On receiving the replacement from Amazon, it failed in exactly the same way and the battery was loose in this one also. In addition, there were already 3 scuff marks on the top of the brand-new unit where the case contacts it. I am extremely disappointed. Apparently, some of these devices reportedly do work, however it appears that manufacturing quality is severely lacking – Grillbot’s fault - or stock is being held too long in storage and degrading the batteries – possibly Amazon’s fault (a warehouse FIFO issue?) - and something their manual gives specific instructions for avoiding for long-term storage. While the design appears visually to be well thought out for the most part, it has failed to live up to basic expectations in practice. I am returning it for a refund and not subjecting myself to the frustration, disappointment and inconvenience of trying a third time. Having initially had great expectations for this product I will continue to clean my grills manually.

It woks great

This was a gift for my hisband’s birthday he was very happy with how well it cleans the grill. The only downside is that to charge the grillbot it must be plugged into a USB port. After cleaning the grill which is on our back porch he has to take it into to our office to be able to charge it.

It does not plug directly into a home wall AC plug. You have to have a USB adapter to charge it into your home AC wall plug. It seems that all home battery operated things require you have an adapter. Paying money for an adapter after paying for your item. The same item I purchased prior had the charging connection to plug into my wall outlet. I purchased a Remington rechargeable beard trimmer 2 weeks ago. I had to buy an adapter for the. The one I had previously plugged into my wall plug. Money on money. Getting old.

This thing works great, and the different cleaning bristles (available as accessories) make it very versatile, usable on just about anything. I've had great success with it both on my gas grill as well as my pellet smoker grates. My only concern, as with anything fitted with internal, rechargeable batteries, is how long they will last. In the meantime, however, it's working great! [Additional Information] I used the Grillbot 5-6 times and it died. Contacting Customer Service, they suggested I check a few things, i.e., the battery charger operation. Next, I was told that the battery needed to be 'reawakened.' I've been in electronics for 50 years and never heard of a battery needing reawakening. When that failed, I measured the battery voltage and found it totally dead - 0 V output, likely internally shorted. I also verified the input from the charger was present but the output of the regulator PCB to the battery was also 0 V, making me suspect the circuit was faulty, causing the battery to fail. I communicated all of that information to the manufacturer and they told me that they would send me a replacement battery, asking for my shipping address. Nearly 3 weeks later, still no battery or word of it so I reached out to the manufacturer again. They replied saying that they didn't see my email response containing my address and informed me the battery was on order. We'll see how it turns out... Based on the short initial working life and the repeated back and forth with the manufacturer, I'm lowering my previous 5 star review to 3 stars. As I initially stated, it worked great for 5-6 uses then died, and given the hassle to get satisfaction, I'm disappointed with the product and its support in light of the $150 it cost. If it was my company, I would have replaced the entire unit upfront. In my opinion, the product design is excellent but the Chinese-manufactured realization of it leaves something to be desired. If the replacement battery doesn't work out, I'm going back to using a manual brush - it costs much less and I won't have to work about the batteries going bad.

Bin sehr begeistert von diesem Roboter , wie ein kleiner Käfer, dem nach Drücken "ON" Leben eingehaucht wird. Schnell Deckel drauf und zwischenzeitlich andere Dinge erledigen. Ganz wichtig: Nur für Griller mit Deckel! Sonst springt der Käfer todesmutig vom Griller :) Die Reinigung ist vollkommen in Ordnung!

This is so impressive, can’t believe what a great job it did!!

Purchased as a birthday gift for my husband. I used it twice the first time on our heavily encrusted grill. Amazing clean, brushes are still like new. I love his gift. Lol
