Taylors of Harrogate Decaffé Coffee Beans, 1 kg (Pack of 2 - Total 2kg)

I had despaired of getting a decafeinated coffee that actually tasted like coffee. I had also tried several store bought brands and two of the Decadent Decafienated Coffees which were pre-ground. I use a Vev Vigano stovetop moka pot.I more recently used Taylor's of Harrogate pre ground which I needed to grind a little finer, which was a little messy and somewhat wasteful, but found I got a better body and taste. I then tried this with my 4 CUP pot using 3 generous teaspoon of my reground Taylor's with a teaspoonful or Lavazza Caffee Decaffeinato pre ground on top. This gave a very satisfactory mug of coffee with half a mug of milk microwaved for 1 minute and 10 seconds. HOWEVER, the thought of having to regrind packets of Taylors decafeinated ground coffee lacked appeal and I much prefer beans to grind myself. Unfortunately these seem not to be available in the stores. I was initially reluctant to buy 2 kgs of these beans in case I didn't like them but I decided to take the chance.I am so pleased that I did! The smell upon opening the bag was devine and the best before date is September 2019!Even better is the fact that these beans give way more taste than the pre ground packets, so much so that I don't need to add a spoon ful of any other coffee to them.I have filled an airtight coffee holder, from a local specialist tea and coffee roaster, with beans and I keep this in the fridge for daily use. I have sealed the large open bag, wrapped it in cling film and placed this inside a plastic zippy bag, which I have further folded over and secured with large elastic bands and stored in my chest freezer as advised. The other unopened killogram bag I have also sealed and stored in a cool dry place.At last I have found a decaffeinated coffee that I consistently enjoy and am relieved not to have wasted even more money on large amounts of coffee which I regret buying.This coffee worked out at £4.00 for 250 gms, half the price of of the DD coffees I purchased online when postage was added, and had not lived up to my expectations, created by all the reviews and media hype.I am so pleased with this coffee and the speedy delivery by Coffee Supplies Direct. I can wholeheartedly recommend both this coffee and the supplier.

I drink too much coffee, I also like it full flavoured and with bite. So having tried several decaffs I was disillusioned, then I spotted this Taylor's offering.Its great black, good crema and delightful flavour. I still drink their Hot Lava Java which is as the title suggests, but I tend to go for the decaff now out of preference.If you'd have told me that two months ago I would have laughed.

Only the 2nd try at a decaf,not bad for taste and strength,but I don’t think decaf will ever be as good as caffeinated

Price was excellent but will not be purchasing again. Flavour is too acidic for my liking.

This was purchased to see if it had a strong enough taste for decaf coffee. Nice enough just not enough taste. Decaf coffee doesn’t have to be weak to the taste.

I've tried nearly all of the decaf coffees on Amazon and this one is my favourite. It still has lots of flavour despite being decaf, it's strong but not too bitter and the slight caramel hint tops it off perfectly. Highly recommended.
