NorthPada Raspberry Pi 3 Model B B+ / ASUS Tinker Board Power Supply AC Charger Adapter 5V 3A Micro USB 5 Feet with Power On / Off Switch

The power supply is great, decent length compared to the altenative with the switch. One slight problem though; the case is not designed/poorly designed for the Raspberry Pi 3 as it lacks any heat dispersion vents other than the tiny GPIO slit on the side. I tried three different Pi 3's; one even had the geeekpi dual fan/heatsink (other two with just heatsinks). All three showed a steady climb in temperature up to the throttling point (the first time I've seen the thermometer icon), this was using kodi, raspbian and retropie. The fact it's made from plastic compounds the heat issues, essentially it's a heat trap and therefore useless, unless you crack the dremel out of course.

The power switch, Which let's face it, is why you buy this thing, is temperamental. You shut down the Pi, press the off button, carry on using your TV or whatever then finish by switching everything off at the mains, as you do.The next day, switch the mains on and on comes the Pi; didn't want to turn it on, I turned it off but no, it has no regard for me having turned it off....The problem is they've chosen a clicky button instead of an actual ON\OFF switch.... Also power flickered whilst i was using the Pi, which can corrupt the SD so back it goes.....

Seems to be great quality so far after a couple of months of use, the button is clicky and responsive. Very useful for peace of mind if you're one of those "did I save the game? Better save again just in case" kinds of people.

This has to be the best power supply for a raspberry PI that I've used so far. No under voltage problems and the switch makes means that the PI's power connector won't get anywhere near as much wear.I've been using this to power a 3B+ running OSMC and RetroPie. No problems voltage problems at all with this supply.

First impressions are very good. Case quality is really good and feels secure and solid.PSU is working fine and no issues at all. On/off button is very handy.Heat sinks look great and fit perfectly on my Pi3 B+.Time will tell if they PSU is up to the job but for now 5 stars and time shall tell.

got a pi with an officia ltouchscreen? then get one of these to power the pair via splitter cable. using a pi3 and the touchscreen I've not seen the dreaded lightning symbol indicating lack of power.

Perfect, no lightning bolt symbol when using these. It is a bit tricky at first to tell if the power switch is on or off, but once you get used to it becomes more obvious.

I’ve been using this power supply for a few months now and have had zero issues with it. I was originally using it on a Pi 3 and now a Pi 3 B+ and it’s incredibly stable and reliable.
