The Earth from the Air - 365 New Days

This book was discovered as a coffee table item at a semi-public venue. Having seen inside and discovering its potential, we ordered our copy here. We instantly saw the value of such well presented and varied colour photos from above the Earth.We have used it for eye spy with our grandson, who loves the book and have seen it as a natural precursor to using maps with this.A good collection, with some stimulating and interesting images on a global basis.

I bought this hoping for some great aerial shots. For my taste 50% are good and maybe 20% are great. This brick of a book mainly exists to promote a strong ecological message -to which the photographs are sometimes illustrative. Each has an accompanying text which doesn't always relate to the image. So, something of a horse designed by a committee. If you want great aerials, go with the satellite-based "world from above".

Lovely, fascinating pictures from the air. Left open and turned each new day is a great way to start the day.

A fantastic book, high quality, unusual photos throughout. We bought it as a gift for a person in Italy we were staying with and he was so impressed he decided to visit Britain! ... and he's a photographer.You cannot be disappointed with this.

This was purchased as a present - so I have not seen it. But the couple whose anniversary it was, were really delighted. Bearing in mind how difficult a decision it was to choose a gift at all, their pleasure is everything.
