It’s great!
Here's a short product review for the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th Generation:The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen is a fantastic upgrade to an already solid audio interface. Right out of the box, there’s a noticeable sound improvement over the previous generation—crisper highs and a warmer, more defined low end that really shines whether you’re recording vocals or instruments. The new dynamic gain halos are a standout feature, making it super intuitive to set levels with a quick glance; they’re both practical and visually slick. On top of that, the updated software is leaps and bounds better than before—streamlined, responsive, and genuinely easy to operate, even if you’re not a tech wizard. For the price, this little red box delivers pro-level quality with a user-friendly twist. Highly recommend it!

Great value, good product, beware of Windows McAfee compatability
Important to consider as a Windows user is that if you have McAfee installed, you should use the MCPR from McAfee website to remove it from your computer BEFORE downloading the drivers for this product as it may give you the bluescreen of death and force you to do a repair of Windows.Beyond this, the product was purchased on end of year sales and is great value for money. The software bundle with this product is amazing and includes industry heavyweights like Native Instruments Massive and Antares Autotune. The interface itself is really good for a bedroom producer, songwriter and professional starting out, it has 2 inputs for mics, guitars etc. As some others mentioned there is no off button so will need removing when not in use but this is not a problem for me.The headphones are well built, they have decent sound quality although not quite at the same standard as some of the pricier studio wired headphones available. They are certainly sufficient for most entry level or beginner musicians.I have not tried this microphone just yet but it feels weighty and solid and comes with a foam pop filter and a clamp for your mic holder (need to buy a proper mic stand separately) but they provide a cardboard holder if you are short on cash.Overall very satisfied, just make sure you remove McAfee before attempting to install drivers or you may have a mini heart attack when you get blue screens and put into recovery mode. Always do your research! You can of course reinstall McAfee after the drivers are installed.

Fantastic Audio Interface – Perfect for Recording!
The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (4th Gen) is an amazing audio interface for recording and songwriting. The sound quality is crystal clear, with low latency and excellent preamps that make vocals and instruments sound professional.Setup was quick and easy, and it works perfectly with my DAW. The build quality feels premium, and the USB connection is solid—no issues with stability. If you're a musician, podcaster, or home studio producer, this is an excellent investment. Highly recommended!

Lovely bit of kit. One problem - no power switch, lights always on.
As a singer/songwriter/guitarist, I've always used 2.5 jack inputs on a soundcard once I entered the realm of PC recording (rather than tape/DAT-based 4 or 8 track standalone studios - Fostex, Tascam). This is an upgrade, and a welcome one. I haven't used it too much yet, but unfortunately already have an issue. It's plugged into my always-on PC, in my bedroom/recording studio/workstation. I sleep in here, and I like it dark when I do that. There appears to be no way, in the software or hardware, to stop the front panel lights from being illuminated while the unit is powered up, besides either turning off the PC (happens, briefly, maybe once every 3 months) or unplugging the USB-C cable from the back. I've invested in a USB-A M-F cable with a on/off switch to solve the problem (may affect sound quality?), but would it be hard to add a power switch on the unit? Or an option in the Focusrite Control 2 to turn off the front panel illumination? I suspect I'm not by any means alone in this.Besides that... wow. Build quality is top notch - it's stylish, compact, graceful. I've so far only used it a little, and am waiting for a M-F mic lead to try the rear panel inputs with the mic pre-amp, but even through the front sockets with a 3.5 jack, it sounds great. I've been playing/recording/engineering for over 30 years now, and most of my recording is analogue - acoustic guitar & vocals, but also line in bass, keyboards & electric guitar - so really looking forward to exploring all the options this beautiful bit of kit has to offer, especially the auto-gain, clip-safe and air mode. Yes, the 2i2 is a little expensive simply to convert one or two 3.5mm jacks or mic leads to USB, but judging from the reviews it's more than worth the money. And now it's part of my workstation/recording studio. Apart from those always-on lights, I'm very happy with it.
