The Best Fabric Rinse Available
My family absolutely loves the Downy Free & Gentle Rinse, I just wish it was available in more places. It gets rid of the smells and makes your clothes feel softer without being perfumed or leaving a waxy residue. I would buy the club store size if they made it.

No extra suds in the rinse!
Works amazing! A bit of chemical scent in the bottle but doesn't add any fregrence to conflict with detergent scent or if using unscented detergent seems to completely remove old odors for a "just clean" fabric smell. Helps to rinse detergent residue out and doesn't make the final rinse sudsy like I have found the scented versions of the rinse and refresh do. Wish it came in a larger size!

Actually Unscented
I suffer from allergies and scents are a trigger for migraines. My mother also has COPD so scents are just not feasible in my household. It’s extremely difficult to find laundry detergents that actually clean your clothes without using strong scents to cover smells. This has replaced my laundry softener and vinegar. It’s unscented and effective, but like all things unscented, a little pricey for what you get.

Happy with the results
Works well as a clothes softener and substitute for traditional animal fat based softener liquid. It is odorless and seemingly also eliminates any detergent odor. If you use a free detergent and this your clothes will be completely odorless. I cannot find the Free version anywhere locally so Amazon is the only game. All of these are a bit pricey.

Hard To Find In Store Locally
Oddly, this item is hard to find in store with the scented versions monopolizing shelf space. This is however, a great product that doesn’t seem to simply replace odors with a flowery scent. I give it at 10/10 and the ease of locating the unscented form ensures I’ll order it from Amazon again!

I have been using this product for over a year and love it. Leaves my clothes smelling fresh and clean, no overbearing scent.

Great for towel mildew smell!
Highly recommend the Free & Gentle version for towels. It really helps prevent mildew smell when in use, especially for kitchen towels. I also echo what others have said about the bottle, it’s a bit of a fail. Would be helpful to have instructions on how much to add too. I do not recommend the scented versions. The smell is SO strong it’s giving me a headache even after the clothes have dried.
